I really do not want to waste my money if there isnt a difference...Is there really a difference b/w Acetone Professional nail polish remover %26amp; regular nail polish remover?
acetone works faster and easier but also more harsh on nails than non acetone which will take a little more soaking and rubbing to get polish off either way you need to soap and wash off soonIs there really a difference b/w Acetone Professional nail polish remover %26amp; regular nail polish remover?
acetone is the better because that's what nail polish is made with, but some cheaper nail polish removers are acetone as well, check out the ingredients before you buy.
Acetone nail polish remover is pure acetone. The store brands usually have some kind of moisturizer in them or are acetone free.
well if u r jus tryna get som1 nail polish off then u should use regular nail polish remover cuz its cheaper and it works but if u need 2 take off something like acrylic full set nails, then u need 2 get acetone nail polish remover, acetonce is stronger and more expensive!
Acetone is the chemical name for nail polish remover. That's just what it's made of.
price.
actually the professional acetone wont leave white marks on your nails like regular acetones does. it also has less chemical components that are harmful to your nails.
there are some though that are not so expensive.
I think if you have fake nails you are not supposed to use acetone because it eats away at them. Other than that I dont know of any real diff.
acetone's not good for your nail...
you can get acetone free polish removers

How do you keep nail polish from chipping after one day?
you need to use top coat.. %26amp; before you polish use alcohol on cotton swab this gets all oil out of nails... %26amp; when using top coat brush- along edge of nail-- to seal in polish should be fine for 5 days... until drastic-- chipping! You can use base coat which helps adhere better... but alcohol will help first do this....:)
%26amp; use good nail poish... I like Opi-from(target), china glaze(sally beauty),
or sinful- brand (walgreenS)
or you can go get a manicure at local nail shop %26amp; watch how they do it %26amp; you can purchase the products.... to ensure the best manicure--- maybe 15$- but atleast you will know exactly how to do it.. watching...
this helps too ...How do you keep nail polish from chipping after one day?
The best way to prevent chipping is to apply a bonder as a base coat. The bonder creates a better adhesion between your nail and the polish. It's better than a base coat and you can buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply. Do two layers of polish making sure you give it plenty of time to dry between each layer. With the second coat of polish make sure you go straight across the edge/tip/end of the nail. Then apply a top coat and you're good! How do you keep nail polish from chipping after one day?
I find that the shorter the nails the less they chip. I personally like short nails, but if you don't like to go short, try to get a high quality nail polish or a top or bottom coat clear nail polish.
Good Luck!

Does sunblock damage your nail polish?
I like to use sunblock on my hands to help prevent ugly sun spots. However, getting sunblock on my nails is just like rubbing my nails with acetone. Anyone had a similar experience?Does sunblock damage your nail polish?
yes, It eats at it, but not totally, it just kind of leaves it gummy and it rubs right off. I am not sure why this happens but it really drives me nutsDoes sunblock damage your nail polish?
No

How do I get nail polish out of my shirt???
I recently had a bottle of red nail polish break and spray all over my new bedding (namely a down comforter). I had spilled nail polish on fabric before, and had never dreamed I would ever be able to get it out, so I always wrote off the stain and either threw the item away or just lived with it. I happened upon this site, and decided to buy some of the suggestions - Off Skintastic, Motsenbocker's Lift Off #3, and a can of acetone (and some Oxy Clean for washing afterwards). I tried the bug repellant on one spot of the comforter and ther Motsenbocker's on another. The bug repellant seemed to lighten the stain, but the Motsenbocker's was actually LIFTING the stain off of the fabric, so I switched to that. I had to spray, blot, and rub the spot with a soft-bristled toothbrush about 25-30 times, but IT COMPLETELY CAME OUT. I was honestly speechless!!! If you use Motsenbocker's make sure you have a towel or something absorbent under whatever you are cleaning to catch the stain dripping through from the other side. My mattress was also stained a little as a result of the accident, so I plan to use the Motsenbocker's again and blot more often and use a carpet cleaner to suck up the excess liquid so it doesn't soak through deeper into the mattress. I'm even going to try some old stains on old items to see if it works! I am still completely amazed that it worked! Thank you to whoever came across this product and posted it - IT WORKS WONDERS!How do I get nail polish out of my shirt???

What does dark red nail polish tell about a girl's personality?
I noticed this innocent-looking, shy/quiet girl at Church. She is pretty, reserved in dress, wears no makeup, BUT wears dark red nail polish. She also has a few decorative rings on her fingers. What does this convey about her personality? What does dark red nail polish tell about a girl's personality?
it means she is a bit lost and has a creative flair... trying to find herself..What does dark red nail polish tell about a girl's personality?
That she likes dark red and may be she is next to a ****.
That she's classy.
It means she swallows. At least that's what it meant when I was in high school.

How do I add color to clear nail polish!? 10 points!?
Umm, well I have clear nail polish, and I wnat to add color to it, I was thinking of adding something bright, like about neon color, does anyone know what I can use to make a really bright stand-out-color?
10 points for best answer. How do I add color to clear nail polish!? 10 points!?
i use some cheap brightly colored eyeshadow that you crush up and mix with clear nail polish after you paint that on do another coat of clear to make it extra shiny : )How do I add color to clear nail polish!? 10 points!?
I would play it safe and just get a bright color at the drug store. You never know what reaction the chemicals in the clear NP and any other ';ingredient'; might have and if it can cause irreversible damage to your nails. Pesimism is not my cup of tea and I usually go for the daring side of things, but I would let this one pass and get a Brucci =O)
Hope I helped!
You can go to drug stores such as rite aid and target to get clear coats with a splash of color in them. although ive never tried it... you can try adding a small amount of another color to the clear coat and see what happens
actually ive done this and it works .. you if you crush up your eyeshadow and pour a small amount of clear nail polish and mix it together .. works well .. good luck
Food dye? Highlighter? Paint?
MAC pigments work well mixed with clear nail polish... they have so many shades to choose from, including neon brights!
stop being cheap and buy some color polish! or just add paint(not oil!)
food dye or poor some nail polish in it??
take felt tip off marker and pour it in

Can you use water to thin out nail polish?
i dont have nail polish remover or thinner or anything like that and the only thing i can think of is water. will it work? Can you use water to thin out nail polish?
no no no god no! if u dont have any nail polish remover or anything like that use some clear nail polishCan you use water to thin out nail polish?
No, it will not work because a nail polish remover has a specific chemical use to remove nail polish. Water doesn't have any chemicals.
No but you can with a little bit of pure acetone. Plus if you keep you polish in the fridge it won't get thick
a drop of nail polish remover accually help beleive it or not....water makes the nail pollish more dense and hard to use.
You could try. If it's all you have.
But it probably isn't going to work very well.
i dont think so

How does acetone free nail polish remover work? What replaces the acetone but still is effective.?
Acetone is replaced with ethyl acetate (another non-polar organic solvent). Acetone has been known to be toxic so that is why non-acetone remover is popular. It doesn't work as well (as quickly, really) but it does the job. Acetone also evaporates more quickly because it has a VERY low boiling point.
How can i make nail polish last longer without chipping?
Rub white vinegar over your nails b4 polishing. It rmoves all the oil on your nails and the polish adheres better. How can i make nail polish last longer without chipping?
If you need to remove polish before you re-paint your nails make VERY sure that you wash your nails really well because the nail-polish remove has special agents in it which will prevent the new polish from adhearing properly so make SURE you wash your nails really well after using remover.
Make sure you apply the nail-polish all one way, usually from the cuticle of your nail to the tip, using the same brush stroke each time, i found this helps mine from chipping.
Apply a top-coat over your usual polish, or you can just use clear polish, and re-apply the top coat once every 2 days. How can i make nail polish last longer without chipping?

Which nail polish color should I use for the wedding?
I'm coming out in a wedding this sunday and the dress is marine (like a dark blue or navy blue) and the shoes are silver. I want to know what color should I paint my toes and my nails so i can tell the lady at the salon when i go to get them done...Which nail polish color should I use for the wedding?
I think a french manicure will look good. Or silver to match the shoes.Which nail polish color should I use for the wedding?
French manicure or a light pink. Try a natural pink as well!
french manicures cann NVR fail. they go with everything so u cann look good fer more than tha wedding. =]
i think that for a wedding you should get a subtle color something that is just noticeable. ummmm i would definitely go for a clearer blue that shines in the light or maybe a white or silver that shines in the light!!! i really hope i helped
Like a dark blue, clear, a natural colur.
French manicure would look really nice though.
I would just get a french manicure, because they're formal, classic, and go with everything.
i would either do the classic french mani or get red nail polish ....
I would suggest a french manicure for both and if you have short nails then I would suggest fake nails or nail tips. Or silver nails to go with the shoes or navy blue. But mostly I would say to get french manicures

I think clear is classy, or if you can make it to the salon get a french manicure. Did you get your dress from Kohls, it sounds very similar to one that I want.
Mayve goldish or brown.
A type of Pink I would sugest lighter tone or Orange that's kinda redish. That's what I would wear cus it would look awesome with the brown =]
I am a fan of the nice simple french manicure. It goes with everything and is fancy enough for a wedding. If not I would go with a lighter color like a soft brown or even clear. Your nails shouldn't be darker than your dress. You want the dress to stand out not your nails.
french manicure?
gold
i agree with lozzi, bronzy goldy but not too bold
well, if u have tips or acrylic nails try a dark deep red and if ur nail r just natural simply use a top coat to make ur nail clear and shiney!
Don't wear anything too intense. Either Clear, or the same color of the dress you're wearing would be great! Another thing (if you don't take my advice above), go with your instincts!
well black is very in this season and it will match anything. if done right i think it can be very sophisticated.
Go for a more natural color and a french manicure is always good.
How about a beigey gold colour
how about a light brown almost beige wih a white flower on both thumbs? and maybe a single pinkkk stripe w/ the flower
beige or a golden brown
or even a dark red
A french manicure is always good. But if you prefer a simple colour I would suggest a shiny beige. The tone of it depending on your skin tone (fair skin: pale beige, dark skin: medium beige). But make sure it shines a lot! Otherwise the beige colour can be pretty boring. And I wouldn't suggest glitter-nailpolish, cause it can very easily look cheap.
Have a good time at the wedding :)

Do you think white nail polish is cute?
I wanted to paint my nails white but i'm not sure if it is going to look good. What do you think of it?Do you think white nail polish is cute?
I think it looks wierd. The only time white should be used is on the tip for a french manicure.Do you think white nail polish is cute?
It depends on the polish for me. Usually when I paint my nails white they end up looking flaky. But when it comes out smooth it can look really nice.
I see a lot of girls do itt, so idk what these people below me are saying but, yeah i wear it its cute %26amp; goes w/ anything:)
i agree with Chelcie R. it can look really nice if you paint it and it comes out smooth. it could also look tacky though if it doesn't come out right. i personally wouldn't wear white nail polish but that's just me.
No.
I used to think it was cute and looked good. But I think that trend is out. Try something either in a dark color like plum or maybe even black. I have seen people wearing dark colors. Or you might want to try a blue, don't matter what shade. I like a medium blue myself. Hot pink is cool or lime green. Also you had asked a question about a phone Miley cyrus's was supposedly holding. I answered that question and could not see the phone. Could you please tell me where the phone is. Is it the same color as her gloves or jacket. If it is , it sure does blend in. Or maybe it is in her pocket. Anyway I did not see it. Please tell me where.
Nope. Nail polish is pretty retarted...
no white polish is sooo out plz dont ....try yellow or green...something bright! =)
well, it depends, sometimes it looks good and sometimes it doesn't. try a french manicure or a bright color like yellow.
hope i helped!
Yeah its cute ((=

Is it the same color as her gloves or jacket. If it is , it sure does blend in. Or maybe it is in her pocket. Anyway I did not see it. Please tell me where.
Nope. Nail polish is pretty retarted...
no white polish is sooo out plz dont ....try yellow or green...something bright! =)
well, it depends, sometimes it looks good and sometimes it doesn't. try a french manicure or a bright color like yellow.
hope i helped!
Yeah its cute ((=
Will Nail Polish Remover Remove Hair Dye from my hair?
I have naturally blonde hair, and i dyed it dark brown about 6 months ago, and it was supposed to fade out, but didn't. I want to lighten it and/or get rid of the dye without actually dying it a lighter color. Will Nail Polish Remover Remove Hair Dye from my hair?
No way!
Go to a salon and ask for help, or go to walmart and buy a striping kit. IWill Nail Polish Remover Remove Hair Dye from my hair?
OMG! do not put nail polish remover on your hair!!! dying your blonde hair dark brown is pretty rough for your hair but it can be fixed. you should go to a good salon and have them put a toner on your hair. then have thick blonde highlights done with bleach instead of color. when it starts to grow out, you should start to see your natural color come back with out the dramatic roots that you would have if you left it dark. good luck!
You really should go to a salon and get a professional to lighten it for you before trying something on your own - and then having to go to a professional later on. You'll end up paying more and causing more damage to your hair if you try something on your own first.

What is your favorite nail polish?
What are your top three favorite brands of nail polish and why?
Thanks :]What is your favorite nail polish?
My top brands of nail polish are Chanel because it dosen't chip off and the colours are really nice, Nails INC as they do loads of gorgeous colours and the names of the colours are inventive ( They're named after things/places in London ) and Butter London because they dont contain any chemicals and it dosent go gloopy. What is your favorite nail polish?
You know, I love Sally Hanses a lot. Especially the Diamond collections.
I recently went to Sally Beauty Supply and fell in love with China Glaze!! Especially because they have a sale (buy 2 get 1 free!) and with the Sally Beauty Discount, the nail polishes come up to $3 per bottle! (reg price 5.99)
I'm usually into the pinks and reds but I'm experimenting with the neon collection from China Glaze. I have on a bright orange color: Japanese Koi and i love it!!
Sally Hansen
Opi
and Avon
Why? Because they all come in a great variety of colors, amd don't chip as often as other brands.
My favorite colors are red, a pinkish coral color, and orange.
God bless=)
China Glaze! I am in love with ';for Audrey'; right now. It's such a pretty Tiffany blue color. :)
OPI, Orly and OPI for Sephora are also good.
I like OPI, it's the only kind that I use, it last long and has great coverage color. My favorite color is ';I'm really not a waitress';.
Chanel, OPI and Barry M (my fave is Barry M)
opi is wonderful it goes on easily and smoothly lol i bought some for my mom and i wanted to steal it back
.
I love OPI nail polish. They use it in the spa and it's amazing

Can you die from smelling too much nail polish?
I was wondering because it smells really strong here in my roomCan you die from smelling too much nail polish?
Yes but you'd have to concentrate it somehow, like in a paper bag.
See, nail polish is basically paint and so if inhaled will do the same things to you as huffing paint: brain damage, liver damage, respiratory problems... none of it at all healthy.
So open a window, ok?
EDIT: Polishes can contain toluene, formaldehyde and phthalates. Toluene is a common paint solvent and has a characteristic strong aromatic smell. It's nasty, you don't want to breathe it for long. Can you die from smelling too much nail polish?
you would honestly need a whole bunch of nail polish, but the smell may bother you...keep a window open, or a fan on to circulate the air! it cant be good for you (you'll lose brain cells or more likely get a bad headache) so dont do it!
How about opening a window? You won't die from just applying it to your nails, but if you do some excessive inhaling of the vapors it is probably possible.
For the most part, no -- nail polish will cause you no serious harm. It can cause minor problems like your headache, but overall, it's a safe product. Nail polish solvents dissolve and then evaporate.
definitely. I think you would have to have a lot more of it though. You should be fine. You'll probably just get a headache in a few hours and cancer in a few years.
nah, i'm sure it's not GREAT for you because it does smell toxic but as long as you are not always sniffing it then you'll be fine!!
Inhalants are one of very few drugs that can kill you in one shot. I would keep a window open.
if you lived in it for 89984984 years ya but not if it is in your room, i would say no.
YOU WOULD NEED ALOT . OPEN A WINDOW YOU ARE KILLING BRAINCELLS

Do 2 coats and a clear coat on top. THats what I heard but nothing works for me so I just dont paint my nails. Only my toe nails cause those dont chip nearly as fast. How do you prevent nail polish from chipping?
apply an extra coat of the same color or a clear nail polish.
put on one layer of clear then put two coats of the color you want and another layer of clear on top. thats what works for me.
Hi, one hint I just read was to apply a clear top coat after the third day of having a pedicure or manicure. You can do this again in a few days to build up a protection barrier. Hope it works!

Nail polish remover. Just be careful with it and make sure to only put it on the nail polish and on as little of the screen as possible.
Use a razor blade held close to flat and increase the angle until it pops off. It will chip right off. No chemicals used!
Try using eucalyptus oil, I know it gets nikko pen off stuff. I would assume you've tried nail polish remover and methylated spirits?

What nail polish is your favorite?
The ones that I've tried that work the best are the Chanel nail polish colors and the Sally Hansen 10-day nail polish. So, are there any suggestions on nail polish colors that last a long time? My favorite for colors is N.Y.C, but it chips easily...so i guess i want to know one that doesn't chip and comes in lots of colors that are fun..What nail polish is your favorite?
OPI is the best ( to me ) and it last a long time as well ...they even have a chip proof top coat you can apply as well and as for colors .....I don't know of anyone else that has so many different colors to choose from. If you go to their website you can click on try on and this hand comes up and you choose a color and it paints the nails so you get a better idea of how well the colors look on your hand verses just looking at the bottle. And most nice salons carry this brand as well....

Dont use anything NYC! Its the worst make-up brand out there! I'v never tried Chanel but have heard its good. The best i have tried is MAC polish's! They have great colors and it will not chip for the longest time!

but i choose to wear the cheap glitter brands. =)
you cant mess up glitter - it's a known fact. slap on as much glitter as you want, and it still looks cute.
i know it sounds like a fifth grade glam tip, but i love to use glitter on my nails. i dont wear a crap-load on my lids, so i think it evens out. =P
i have one bottle of sally hansen silver nail polish, and it's great, it dries really fast too. the other ones by her last a while too, especially if you use a base and top coat.
ALL nail polish chip on me, so i don't bother spending my money on overpriced pieces of $#!T. i just buy N.Y.C. / wet n wild / revlon / other drugstore brands.
I used to think OPI was the best until I tried Essie. My favorite is Essie ';Ballet Slippers'; for my nails. My favorite for my toes is Chanel ';Vamp';
SALLY HANSON- the one w/ the lycra.
Colours are amazing, lasts forever, and the brush is perfect.
Try Revlon, its the besthair straightening

both of these will match pretty much anything u wear
good luck and i hope this helpsWhat nail polish color to get for summer and Quick?
There's a really great colour of nail polish called Lola Devine at MAC, it's a bit pricey for nail polish but it's worth it. It's not a pastel colour, it's jhust solid coral pink that came out with the Heatherette line but it's prefect for Summer! Corals are great for nails during summer and Bronze on the toe nails are great too but their both not pastels /= But if you're looking for pastels check out the Anna Sui Counter at Sears. They have a huge variety of nail colours and just about half of them are pastels. Their all gorgeous, the packaging is gorgeous, and almost all the colours are pastels and vibrant which is perfect for summer. If you want google Anna Sui and check them out. They're pricey too but that's the best possible place i can think of at the time for nail polishes. Also try Sephora nail polishes. They have great ones too!
~ Hope this helps out, Kim %26lt;3
Hi,
In summer time ,french manicure should be the best .
It is easy going with any color of your clothes . If you dont want french manicure you can go with light color that look really natural. You should reshape ,clean your nails ,put base coat first before apply color ,when you apply the color try to make 2 times of thin coat ,and dont forget top coat .
Good luck and have wonderful summer.
The early show says pinks so pastel pink...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/08/0鈥?/a>
I think an intense pastelly pink is the best for summer, because it shows off tan skin very well. I always put it on my toes, with a cute toe ring, and it looks fantastic.
http://www.beautyrealm.com/essie_spring0鈥?/a>
try these
earthy colors are definitely in this summer. try a gold for your toes, and something like a light orange or french manicure for your fingers.
Bright yellow. Pastels and greens can make your nails look dirty from far away and BRIGHT yellow is really hot right now.
Maybe a light blue. Or a yellow but thats probably too spring-ish. And a lightish-brightish pink would look good.
well ryt now im using l'oreal in fleur de lis shade. its really pink pastel.. i absolutely love it! i also use sally hansen extreme in purple potion shade and wet n wild 420B shade.
If I were you I would get Light Blue
Light colors like pink and red. It is also good to use clear.
Well I think you should either get a neon yellow, red or pink!
Apparently they're really in at the moment !
pink of course...comes in millions of shades and looks great in summer

good luck and i hope this helpsWhat nail polish color to get for summer and Quick?
Apparently they're really in at the moment !
pink of course...comes in millions of shades and looks great in summer
green
Is wearing a dark nail polish to go fill out an application going to count against me?
i don't have any polish remover right now, lolIs wearing a dark nail polish to go fill out an application going to count against me?
I don't see why it would.
You're expressing yourself with color.
That's not a bad thing.
Just show your true personality.
Smile alot if your that kinda girl!Is wearing a dark nail polish to go fill out an application going to count against me?
As long as it still looks nice.
black nails are always trendy %26amp; chic
I would say no... while it's probably best to keep your look neutral (like a clear or natural colored nail polish) I don't think it would count against you if it's neat.
Just dress appropriately/professionally and you'll be fine.

Can you remove your nail polish with a whiteboard cleaner?
i ran out of nail polish remover, so do u think i should remove my nail polish with white board cleaner? will it turn my nails yellow? or get it damaged? im just wondering, dont write anything bad. heheCan you remove your nail polish with a whiteboard cleaner?
The best way to get off nail polish is with a product with some acetone.
And I do not mean paint thinner, because that can eat away at your skin!
you could try a mix of vinegar and rubbing alcohol, if you dare. Can you remove your nail polish with a whiteboard cleaner?
it would work but it is not a good idea for your skin it will become roghf and it will look horbale so it really not a good idea
I wouldn't if I were you.
Just run out to the store and get a bottle of nail polish remover.

Anti-infected nails want to stop nail biting. without using something bitter or nail polish?
I have been bitting my nails since i was about 4. they arn'et like realy small but below normail height. How can i stop without using something bitter or nailpolish?Anti-infected nails want to stop nail biting. without using something bitter or nail polish?
Mind over matter... this is really hard of course. It is especially hard because nail biting has become such a habit for you. I stopped biting my nails (mostly) a few years back and below are my tips (note- some are more girl friendly):
Always carry a nale file or clipper with you. This way when a nail breaks, gets snagged, ragged looking, etc. you have a way to deal with it immediately without resorting to chewing at it.
Chew gum or bring some type of small food item with you everywhere to munch on when you get the urge to bite your nails (grapes, raisins, nuts, carrot sticks, peppermint candy if you must). It is likely that you have an oral fixation and while it is not good to trade one addiction/ bad habit for another having something there to curb your impulse to bite your nails can help. Always having a water bottle with you also helps.
Try to reduce your stress levels. Work on time management skills, take a walk every day to calm yourself down- whatever works for you. The less stressed you are the easier it will be to quit biting your nails.
Take care to keep your nails manicured and neat. The better your nails look, the less likely you are to bite them.
I hope this helps.Anti-infected nails want to stop nail biting. without using something bitter or nail polish?
Think of how perfect they will look if you stop.hair straightening

Does anyone know where to get affordable, but good quality nail polish in new york city?
specifically a nice coral color or the thin nail polish used to draw designs on your nails?Does anyone know where to get affordable, but good quality nail polish in new york city?
I think that Sally Hanson last the longest, and you can do a touch-up on them and they don't look sloppy. You can pay a fortune for nail polish and I have, but none last as long or as nicely as Sally's. !!!!!!!!!Does anyone know where to get affordable, but good quality nail polish in new york city?
Try Orly or Sally Hansen nail polish. these can be found at Walmart, CVS, Kroger, and several other places! If u go to Sally's Beauty Supply u can buy Finger Paint's, Nina Ultra Pro, Orly, and Savvy. Also at Davidsons Beauty or Cosmo Prof U can buy Creative, Opi, Essie and several others! I use just about every brand listed and trust me they are awesome!
I dont know specifically in NYC, but Orly is the best brand I've used, and you can get it virtually anywhere. CVS/Eckerd, or maybe Walgreens. I know CVS has it. Or a beauty supply store. It's about 5 or 6 a bottle, but it lasts forever!

OPI, or Creative Nail are good but you have to get them in salons.
O.P.I. nail polish works great! It doesn't chip, and the color quality is great. You can get it anywhere and you can find it for under $2!

Which is the better brand of nail polish?
Opi, Essie, or China Glaze? Which one holds up the best? I'm tired of getting crappy polish.Which is the better brand of nail polish?
China Glaze was made for natural nails only. Opi can be used for both. As a stylist and nail technicial, I recommend Opi because it lasts longer than the China Glaze. It seems to be thicker. Just make sure you put three thin coats on to make you nails look their best. I have never used Essie before so I can't tell you anything about it. Also, Chanel makes really great polish. But, it is more expensive than Opi or China Glaze. Hope this helps.Which is the better brand of nail polish?
Opi but i like chanel
When I have my nails professionally done I choose OPI, however when I want to change my polish or do my own nails I buy ido nail polish from Sally's prices are reasonable because Sally's almost always have ido nail polish on sale. OPI is not easy to purchase at your local retailer. If you are looking for a polish accessible to purchase, try Sally Hansen nail care and polish or Loreal.
http://www.idonails.com/polish.htm
Opi is good but I actually prefer Sally Hanson.
OPI
I personally think all of them are bad!
Thats why i use No7 nail polish its really good and you can find great colours too.
Opi works the best for me. to lengthen nail polish make sure your using base and top coat
OPI, the best by far.
I've only heard of Opi that you said. But I prefer M-A-C nail polish.
OPI is really good i also like the Revlon 10 day colour stay polish it works really well and it actually stays!
Api
I have always used Essie in my salon. I think they have a great color selection.
When polishing your nails make sure you get the very tip. Brush across the tip of the nail so a little polish goes underneath as well, if it gets on your skin just use a little remover on an old acrylic brush to swipe it off.
Always use a top coat. I re-apply my top coat every other day to keep my manicure looking fresh.
Try OPI or Jessica
Opi works well on me but the best advice I ever got was from my grandmother, and no matter what nail polish she used, it would last a week, even Wet %26amp; Wild brand.
What she would do is clean her nails with nail polish remover, then soap and water. She would have two tumblers full of ice cubes ready. She would polish her nails with one coat, usually red or burgandy, and then hold her hands each in a cup of ice for about 15 minutes, or until the polish hardened. She would do the same after each coat. She'd finish by running freezing cold water over her nails.
I do the same routine whenever I polish my nails, and its never let me down!

Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?
Help please? I have tried rubbing alcohol %26amp; hairspray.
Any ideas?Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?
Check out the garage. Acetone, lacquer thinner and maybe mineral spirits(not sure on that one). If all else fails repaint them with clear polish and quickly wipe it off before it sets. The fresh polish softens the old and you can wipe it off fairly easy. It works, but slow process.Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?
Go to the store...anything else would be horrible!
1. Use acetone to remove the polish.2. Scrape it off using your teeth,or even an old razor.Net time remember to stock yourself up on the remover!
you can do the nail polish on then take off thing but you would waste nail polish...i use a nail file and then buff it then repolish.
acetone
i dont know of anything else. your best bet is probably just to run up to the store and get some remover.
I really wouldn't recommend anything else for the sake of your nails, any other substance may be harsh and harmful to your nails. Why not just wait until you get some?!Or if you really want to cover up the colour you have on at the moment, why not just paint another colour on top?
1) OPEN HOT WATER OR IF IT IS TOO HOT MAKE IT A LITTLE WARM (NOT TOO WARM)
2) LET YOUR NAILS FEEL HOT AND WET
3) RUB YOUR NAILS ONCE AT A TIME WITH THE RUNNING WATER
4) FINISH WITH THE RIGHT HAND THEN WITH THE LEFT HAND
5) TA-DA! YOU SHOULD BE FINE THEN, THE NAIL POLISH WILL BE REMOVED AFTERWORDS!
mmm get achol and rub it on nails it should get off
if alcohol didn't do the trick, your next bet is acetone but you might as well go buy a nail polish remover.
you can buy nail polish and can't buy nail polish remover? its cheaper than nail polish. it cost a dollar.. well, just do some dish washing and use warm water, it will come out not quick but for sure.
Brush some clear nail polish (if you have any) on just one nail at a time. While it is still wet, it will soften the old polish underneath. Before it begins to dry, rub pretty hard with a cotton ball and all of the polish, both old and new will come off.
Rubber oil - but this can be harmful to your nails and it is very smelly.
use nail polish... paint on nail rub off still wet...
can't exactly remember.. i think something like rubbing alcohol. just haveta rub harder.hair straightening

i have black nail polish, but i dont know if i should use it or not
im not goth or emo! should i use it on my toes/ finger nails?
or should i not use it at all? What do you think of black nail polish?
I'm not goth nor emo, and I wear black nail polish on occassion, it can actually be very cute and go well with a certain looks. I wouldn't wear it to a Holiday party or anywhere dressy, but for everyday casual wear, such as jeans and sweatshirts, its fine. Have nail polish remover on hand, its no big deal, its not like it is permanet. What do you think of black nail polish?
Personally, I think anyone can rock black nail polish...not just ';goths'; and ';emos';. Usually, I think it looks best on short nails. I always get a black polish that has a little glitter to it, so it looks more girly.
I used to have a friend whose mom wouldn't allow her to wear black nail polish, so she went and got this dark dark dark red color. It almost looked black, but you could see the red tint to it. It was pretty. Maybe you should look into that too.
i use it, and i'm not goth or emo either.
i think thats basically a stereotype, and if somebody says that i'm emo because of my nail polish, thats ridiculous. i use it to paint my finger nails.
the only downside i have with it is that its hard to keep it from peeling and it messes up easily. but that is probably just the brand of polish i've got.
I like it, but only for fingernails. I think it looks dirty on toenails, like they are all infected or something. Gross. Feet are dirty enough, I try and use the cleanest looking colours I can on my toes instead of adding to the yukky.
i dont suggest it, i mean unless it matches ur hair or something, but black nail polish makes u look goth, and i dont like goth. Try some colour more acceptable but not too great ie: flourescant green is a no
Hey! black nail polishes r v.good the r the ones in fashion these days i think u should use .......................i doesn't depend on who u r its what u like???????? if u like it u should wear it no matter what pelople think.....................its in these days after all
I don't understand why people think wearing black nail polish means your emo or goth. I think it's perfectly acceptable. I like wearing black nail polish, especially with sparkle.
Hope this helps!
I love black nail polish! It used to be only for Halloween and goths, but now, so chic! And if you still aren't sure, try out a dark purple or navy.
i say go for it.
kinda ugly
can be ok if you have the right shape nails, and skin colour.
finger nails, i think it'd look fine on you.
I use it. Actually so does my husband. :-) Nothing wrong with a little black polish!
I use it on my toes all the time =)
I think its fine to use...

I suggest you should spend your time focusing on your schoolwork and education instead of worrying about how your appearance is.
Read, study, and do something fun and educational..its COOL!

Going to Las Vegas, What color nail polish should I wear??
We are leaving for Las Vegas for a business trip. Going to a pet shop trade show. We have two kids we are bringing with us so we are not gambling! I was wondering what color of nail polish I should put on my toes and fingernails ( Same color or different colors?) And should I put a design on or not. If so what?
Have a great week!

That is easy! Going to Las Vegas means you are strong and ready for something unexpected, yet going with kids will be fun. Red nails, no designs, would accomplish your mission. You can definitely pull off wearing red in Las Vegas. Red makes you confident, yet it's a classy color!Going to Las Vegas, What color nail polish should I wear??
Have fun with the kids and dont worry about your nails...okay metallics are kinda cool.

How to get nail polish off?
When you accidentally get nail polish on the side of your finger where the nail ends, what's an easy way to get it off without ruining the polish on the nais? How to get nail polish off?
Soak your hand in warm water, and then rub the polish off your finger with a wash cloth. If you are careful, it shouldn't ruin the polish on you nail at all!How to get nail polish off?
put vaseline around your nails before painting them, the nail polish won't stick to your skin ;)
If you do get it on your skin, let it dry then get a wooden orange stick or cotton bud, dip it in remover lightly and go around the sides.
What i tend to do is let the polish dry on my skin, it soon washes off in the shower or when i'm washing your hands. This means you won't lose the polish from your nails and you'll end up with a real neat finish.
Wait for the nail polish to dry, then put it on hot water, and scrape the nail polish off.
Or take a cotton swab with some Acetone and clean it up.
Or buy one of those correcting pens. OPI %26amp; Essie make them. Sally Hansen, too. :)
well, you should start off by trying to wash your hands with a scrub, like the ones with the bead things in them. if that doesn't work, then you should use a q-tip and dip it in nail polish remover and very carefully take it off of your finger.
good luck:)
What I do is wait until they are completely dry and then get a cotton swab, dunk it in nail polish remover, and very carefully rub it off. A q-tip's end is really small and precise to work with, that's why I use them.

How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Nail polish remover seems risky?
Goo Gone is a fantastic product (available at Target and most any hardware store or drug store) and works amazingly well on even pesky sticker residue. Soak the area, and wipe it away. It might take repeated applications, but you can remove the sticker without scratching, and without leaving a gooey residue.
Note that Goo Gone can affect some surfaces, including some plastics, so you should be careful, especially if it is clear plastic. I've used Goo Gone many times on plastic glassic and CD cases, so it will certainly work on many plastics, but you should be careful.
In the event that Goo Gone seems too risky, you can frequently remove just the adhesive residue using plain old Scotch tape. Remove as much of the sticker as possible (the paper/plastic backing) and then apply tape to the sticker residue firmly. Pull the tape off sharply, and some of the residue will come with it. This is a slow process so only do it if the area is relatively small, however, I frequently use this tactic for price tags and the like and it is surprisingly effective. How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Use a small razor blade. It won't scratch the window, unless you dig into the window with the blade corner :)How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Nail polish remover seems risky?
This is a plastic window? If so, don't use a razor blade. WD-40 can also potentially damage plastic. Best choice is a citrus based cleaner like citra-solv. Goof off would also work.
WD-40 works really well on the goo that stickers leave behind. I suggest trying that first before buying anything.
Hi. Go to your nearest Safeway and buy ';Googone';. It works like a charm.

I recommended soaking the sticker in Windex, and then wiping as much off as possible, and then repeating until it is gone.

Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
I am going to a formal dinner with my husband for Valentine's day. I have a formal red satin dress that I am wearing with black high heal sandals and beige nylons. I was going to wear nail polish, but I am not sure if that would look tacky under nylons. Any opinions on the subject?Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
Does this dress really require the nylons? I now it's winter but theese type of shoes might look better with just bear legs and a good moisturizer, I think Dove even has like a tanning/shimmer line of products you can choose from to dress up your legs without the nylons.
Although if you really can't see yourself without them I suggest a really light beige for your nails and NO white tips. You can paint one of them with a dark color if that's what you want and then try the nylons on to see what it looks like with the sandals and all, if not just use the remover, and try the beige nail polish or the sandals alone.Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
Yes, any time you wear open toed shoes, you want to have your toenails groomed and polished. You can either wear clear polish or a very pale shade.
Yes. My opinion is that no one is going to care.
Exposed toenails always look nice when polished, bare or stockinged. Red polish would really go well with the black shoes and red dress. Nude hosiery will complete the get-up although I usually eschew it, personal preference.
Have a delightful time!
yeah girl definetly you should give them a taste of what it would be like with out the nylons on
no nylons ,wear polish
with nylons wear a clear polish
I personally never wear hose. Period. I feel like they are WAY out of style. (this is my opinion.) I think it looks way better just to wear nothing with open toed shoes. Now..if they were closed toed shoes...that wouldn't be so bad. I might wear hose with them. I'm sure whatever you choose, you'll look beautiful! Good luck~*~
yes but make sure it is clear
I believe you should always wear toenail polish, nylons or no.
But if you didn't wear it, it wouldn't be tacky either.
I think it would look good under the nylons. But it's a matter of personal preference.
Always polish your toe nails. That way you will give your feet the proper attention they need. Always keep you toe nails cut and the cuticle pushed back and make sure your scrub you heels and feet with a pumice stone.
i say no nylons with open toed shoes because you will see the stitching at the toes. but nail polish and no nylons would look nice.
Anytime I wear open toe shoes I dress up the toe nails. Makes your feet so much prettier. I would definitely paint them. Paint them to match the dress though.
I rarely go without my toenails polished! And I wear nylons with open toe shoes, they make nylons called sandaltoe or something to that effect. Are you sandals really strappy? Or are they more closed toe type sandals? I try to skip the nylons if they are really strappy shoes! I personally think its up to you; try on your outfit all the ways possible and get your husbands thoughts on the matter (or a good friends if your husband has the ';you look fine in everything you wear'; attitude!)

Are all nail polishes the same, or do you get what you pay for? What is the best polish for your buck?
its not a matter about price
i payed $15 for a nail polish its pretty bad, it chips easy and doesnt stay on any longer then 4 days.
where as my $3 nail polish can last for weeks :)
so price is not a factor :DAre all nail polishes the same, or do you get what you pay for? What is the best polish for your buck?

Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?
i guess the acetone ate through the plastic and hence the whiteness, but even if i scrape off the white parts, it either comes back or it remains discolored and now it's all scratched up from my trying to scrape off the whiteness. is there any way to smooth out the plastic?Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?
No way you can correct that. Make an appointment for new frames.Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?

What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
I just like the look, i don't dress scene, goth, etc but i think it looks cool. If you don't like it, how should I wear black nail polish to make it not look 'scary'. Should i add white or something to it?What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
It looks great, just make sure your nails aren't too long or it looks a little terrifying! Otherwise, it's a nice look :)What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
i like black nailpolish a lot ;) but i havent been using i, i've been using white and pinks more lately, just cause i was called emo and gothic for having b lack nail polish. wtf i know? ahah, and my teacher was wearing black nail polish at that time too, and shes like 28. ahahah gayy ;)
I love black nail polish too, and im not goth, punk, etc. What I usually do to not make it look so 'scary' is just buy some little designs/decals to put on them. Or I go to a professional and have them airbrush in silver or white.
Oh gosh I LUV it my favorite color on my nails I have black with pink, greeen, yellow, any color black is hot and awesome and yet again im kinda punk but when i wasnt i still liked it its wonderful and hot also black is a sign of faith thats what people said a long time ago!
I think as long as your nails aren't really long, it's fine...but I'd also try for polishes that are dark, but not black. There's one called ';Lincoln Park At Midnight'; by OPI that's a really dark purple. It's my fave. OPI has a lot of other colors that are dark but not black.
It's just a nail polish colour. In fact, black nails make them stand out and that's usually a good thing. It's not scary unless worn with 'scary' apparel.
I also like the look, when it's not chipping off and stuff. Then it just looks grungy. I also like going with a very deep dark red instead of the black.
I think it looks really nice. If you want you can also add little colored dots.
You can get off with black nail polish if you wear coloured jewelry to brighten it up!
X
i dont like black on nails. i do like the deeper purple tones tho. but dark nail polish looks the best on full long nails. i hope i get the ten points
you can add a bright tee. that will make it pop and not make you look goth
there are nail decals you can put on them %26amp; use the black polish as a background
i luv black, u could add a white swirl w/ a toothpick. i luv it. see selena gomez wearin it all the time.
i love it! but if ur goin to add something on it, dont make it white....trust me, it looks weird :)
i think tis awesome. I have black nail polish on right now =D
i wear black nail polish. i don't think it looks bad unless you do were gothy clothes
make it shiney! not like u spent 1 second on each nail
it;s awseome lol

What do you do about finger nail polish?
I can not keep any kind of finger nail polish on my nails .They are very dry and brittle . every time i put polish on within 2 hours the polish is chipping off the nailWhat do you do about finger nail polish?
You must make time for polishing and not rush.
I would start out by washing my hands first. Then I would carefully remove any old polish that I may have on, remembering that If I am using artificial nail I must only use non-acetone polish remover.
If my nails were natural I would take an orangewood stick and wrap the end of it with cotton. I would then proceed to dip the end of the orangewood stick with peroxide and clean off any stains I may have on the top or underneath of my nails. This may not eliminate all stains if you are a heavy smoker but will certainly help.
For best results before you polish the nails must be clean from dirt and oils. If you remember to do this first then you end result will be longer lasting and a more evenly polished nail.
I would then shape my nails to the desired shape and length. I would proceed to always use a base coat before the polish. You would apply this base coat in three strokes. You would start at the top of the cuticle and continue polishing until you have reached the edge, always remembering to polish in the middle first and then ending with the two sides.
When I polish my own nails it is easier for me to place a small hand shelf or stool under the hand that is holding the brush. I am then able to maintain perfect steady control of my hands while polishing
It is time to polish when you have waited five minutes and your base coat has dried all of the way.
First I would choose a color that would accent my skin color as well as my wardrobe. I would gently roll the polish between my hands to eliminate bubbles.
I would then repeat the steps as if I were applying the base coat, but using the nail polish.
I would then wait another five minutes for this coat to dry. I would then re-apply another coat. When you you take the time to re-apply it will give your nails a more even coat.
I would then wait another five minutes and then apply a top coat. I would then wait an additional five minutes.
*Never apply nail polish if you are in a hurry. I would rather see a set of clean plain nails then nails that are painted and full of smudges.
*Never apply nail polish over a coat that has already been smudged. It will never look right. Properly re-do them!
If you should polish your skin by mistake this can easily be removed by using an orange wood stick with a piece of cotton and fingernail polish remover.
I would always recommend using a top coat. It really gives nails an added extra shine and looks more professional. This practice will also help with the chipping of nails.
When polishing your nails be experimental with different types and shades. They all perform differently. Some go on thicker, thinner, and you will just have to experiment until you find one that suits you.
Hope this helps~What do you do about finger nail polish?
Sally Hansen makes this clear polish that goes over nail polish.
Good Luck :)
Try getting a silk wrap.
if your vitamin intake is ok and you donn't have any diseases, use a hand cream or a cream for nails, putting them in the water alot and using detergents will make them dry and brittle too, hand work also may chip the polish.
sounds like you need to condition and improve the health of your nails first. look in the pharmacy, they'll have products you can use. also cream to rub just below your cuticles helps improve your nail condition too. hope this helped.hair straightening

Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
Is there anything you can mix together to get rid of nail polish? Like, stuff at home?
Thanks =)Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
if you dont have nail polish remover, reapply the nailpolish and while its wet right away wipe it off (it comes off really)!!!Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
If I don't have nail polish remover I soak my hands in water and scrape it off.
um im not that sure, i just use nailpolish remover if i dont have any i just scrap it off :\
nail polish remover...
This sounds strange, but I've also used body splash (which is mostly alcohol) in a pinch, but it does not work NEARLY as well as nail polish remover.

Will regular nail polish remove air brush from acrylic nails?
Yes, but be careful not to use too much as it can damage the acrylic nail itself. :)
What do u think of the color of my nail polish?
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/343/20001pi2.jpg
my friends say its too bright!?
what color outfit suits with this color? What do u think of the color of my nail polish?
I think that the color is fine. You would probably want to go with a light colored oufit, maybe a peach top and white or tan bottom. What do u think of the color of my nail polish?
i like that! it not to bright i hav some like that i wear it with black green white some darker colors to make my nails pop!
I don't think it's too bright(but then again I'm a ';Barry M. Nail Paint '; fan)
I think it would contrast beautifully with an all black outfit, maybe with red patent high heeled shoes?
Or Black skirt/trousers and white strap top?
I think you should use it as a contrating feature to your outfit, with possibly some minimal accessory co-ordination.
No way! It's not too bright!
It's such a cool colour! Don't listen to what they say.. lol.
Since it's quite a bright neon colour, maybe you should just tone it down with the colour of the outfit, it doesn't need to be bland! Just not as .. vibrant :)
I'd say it'd look fine with a little bit yellow, it'd definately go with white, reds? Maybe a few deeper shades of blue? Experiment and see what looks best. x
Ooh! I have that same color! Is yours the chanel one??
I would wear somethink like that with a simple white blouse and denim shorts. And maybe some gold gladiator-style sandals (love 'em!!).
If you friends keep saying it's too bright, just ignore them.
**Gemma**
They look real crimson.
its a little bright but white, black, and red would look good with it
Wow i love that color where did you get it?

How do I get finger nail polish out of my jeans?
Here's some good information on getting nail polish out of jeans: http://www.jeanshub.com/JeansCare-NailPo鈥?/a>How do I get finger nail polish out of my jeans?
Get some nail polish remover on a paper towel or something (safety reasons) and start dabbing the spot or rubbing the spot. Then, wash your jeans REALLY good because your jeans will smell bad. If you want to, you can hand wash it first. Then, put it in the washing machine and use allot of Tide or something. Hope I helped!

What ingredient in acetone free nail polish remover makes it work?
I believe that the solvent is ethyl acetate. It's a solvent for the nail polish (this means that the nail polish dissolves well in the ethyl acetate).

How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
My mom showed me a way to keep it smooth (she went to comsmetic school, so i guess she learned it there), just add a couple of drops of nail polish remover in the polish.. it lossens it up just right and in seconds its nice and smooth..
BTW, ive never tried the refridgerator thing though, thats sounds like a good experiment too. try either or..How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
I've kept my nailpolish in the refrigerator for many years now. Everyone always laughs when they open my fridge door, but it seems to helps with the clumping and stickiness. Try it.
Also, when you shake it, do it gently. Don't vigorously shake it. You should roll it between the palms of your hands a few times. This will keep the air bubbles out of the polish. How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
Keep it in the fridge. It works.
Keep it in a fridge.
Add a little nail polish remover to it and shake it should help
If you nail polish is sticky and clumpy its either old or it has been exposed to the air for too long. Also, never shake the bottle. That makes air bubbles in the polish and it will bubble up on your nails. Turn the bottle upside and roll between your palms. Also, don't buy the really cheap polish. A great polish to use is OPI. It is my absolute favorite and they have every color imaginable. You buy it at most beauty salons or stores like Ulta or Beauty Brands. The polish last a really long time and it doesn't chip off as fast as the cheap stuff. Also, if you want your manicures to last you need to always use a basecoat and a topcoat.
If it is sticky and clumpy, it is old or been exposed to the air for too long. I don't really think that there is a solution other than just throw it away and buy new...
if the polish is thick and guumy add a few drops of polis remover to it. if it is still thick throw it away and buy a new bottle
don't shake the bottle, make sure the top is on real well and hold it up-side-down and then right-side-up,do that 2-3 times.Do that instead and it will keep your nail polish from bubbling causing it to clump. You may want to give yourself extrra time in between coats too.
1. dont shake the polish(roll it in the palm of your hands--the warmth helps it to be smooth
2. dont ever use polish remover to try to thin it out--use polish thinner(you can get this at any beauty supply store)
apply base and top coat

Can someone help me with nail polish?
I want to know if their are any brands of nail polish that show up on black nail polish. I've asked one nail salon, but they have no clue. Like, I want my base color black and I wanted to do designs in a different color(red, purple and so on) But I don't know where to find them or get them. I want the red or other colors to actually show on top of the black. What type of nail polish could I buy?Is it like 'gel' type nail polish or something that gets the bright effect on any color? No matter what kind it is, I need(want) it. Or should I just burst out with a can of paint? lol.
Please help! Can someone help me with nail polish?
Nail salons use some sort of nail paint which is likely what you are looking for...they use it to paint designs (like flowers) on top of painted nails. I have had them paint flowers on top of a very deep, red polish before, and it showed up really well. Maybe they sell it at a salon near you, or they may be nice enough to at least point you in the right direction. Good luck! :)Can someone help me with nail polish?
metallic polish work real nice
well, i paint my nails black and then put red poka dots on it. i use ';orly'; nail lacquer and i get it at sally's. it last long and its strong so it doesn't look clear or watery
use one of those nail pens. i dont know where to get them, but u wait til the black drys then write over it. you might want to try asking a salon if theyve heard of those!

Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
Im a vegetarian and I recently found out that almost all brands of nail polish removers are ';enriched'; with gelatin.
Does anyone know of a brand that could be found in stores that is made without gelatin???Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
Alot of those cosmetics have also been tested on animals. Try shopping from online or animal friendly stores.
Check out http://crueltyfreeshop.com.au/ or ebay. Type vegan before what ever your looking for. I just found a bunch of vegan cosmetics on ebay. hope this helped =)Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
wow that is tough! I tried a google and haven't found anything. I do know that you can remove nailpolish by painting over the existing polish. That should soften the polish so you can remove it. Try clear polish.
ETA
I did find these:
Pangea (www.veganstore.com) sells No Miss products, and they have a line of nail colorings and removers that are vegan.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE (can't say it enough) ***No Miss*** brand nail polish remover. It's vegan, natural, and cruelty-free - and it smells like vanilla! I have no idea why people use acetone-based removers that smell chemical enough to knock you out. When you try this, you'll NEVER go back! You can find it on www.veganstore.com, and I know my local natural food store and co-op both carry it so maybe you can even find it locally. They also make No Miss nail polish that's freaking fantastic, vegan, cruelty-free and it doesn't contain embalming fluid like regular ones do!
i dont know of any... But also remember that top coats and base coats usually have gelatin in them also.. it strengthens the nails... Soooo be careful what you buy!!
Check out the labels on generic products. I know life-brand (from Shoppers Drug Mart) is. :)
your basic cheap nail polish removers are vegan... they are just acetylene or some alcohol based thing. No animal products.
If you want natural, you cannot have it -- nail polish is not natural, so you have to make your choices.

This morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
Does anyone know what can be used to get it out? I would be very grateful - my daughter is really upset about the top.
Thanks :)This morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
Hi! I just answered someone else. Who has the same problem! If you want to,depending on the fabric. Try Hairspray!(CAN ,NOT PLASTIC BOTTLE HAIRSPRAY) Spray directly on spot. Wipe gently, see if it softens! If so then repeat! washspot with water to remove hairspray if it removes stain! We used hairspray a lot in beauty school to remove stains! Good Luck DorothyThis morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
acetone but it will only smear it. Live and learn.
erm, now then, let me think....
something to remove nail polish..............erm............
nope sorry. cant think of nail type of nail polish remover...............
One time I did that and used paint thinner and it took it right off. ;)
It is perhaps best to ask the dry cleaners if they have any ideas, alternatively you can buy acetone from a chemist which is stronger than nail varnish remover and might do the trick. Just remember to test the fabric first to see if it takes the colour out, still if the top is ruined anyway it is worth a try Good luck, hope you are successful.
Nail polish is not coming out.
***Vain***
if you put it in the freezer it will prob peel off, but it may leave a coloured stain underneath!
vanish oxy action?????it myt help
don't waste your time buy a new top.
Explain to your daughter this is one of the facts of life, throw away the top, buy some more varnish and a new top, make a vow to keep them well apart and stick to it. Nail varnish and remover are two very dangerous items to be handled carelessly inside a house.
Nail polish
Sponge with polish remover or banana oil. Wash. If stain remains, sponge with denatured alcohol to which a few drops of ammonia have been added. Wash again. Do - not use polish remover on acetate or triacetate fabrics. Good Luck !
Use a nail polish remover with acetone in it, but make sure to rub in one direction.
Try nail polish remover %26amp; throw it in a washing machine or let it soak. Also, try rubbing it in with ice after.

What is the best way to get stained nail polish out of ?tarrazar? flooring?
Terrazo in my house is like a concrete you can use a fine sand paper use the kind for wet sanding and wet the floor and lightly sand it. If it a soaked in then its not tarrazo flooringWhat is the best way to get stained nail polish out of ?tarrazar? flooring?
Paint stripper or acetone (finger nail polish remover) should remove the stain, along with some elbow grease. The problem becomes re-sealing the floor (that's terrazzo by the way). The grout, if you used tiles, the cement and the stones all have different absorption rates and can be harmed (or not) by cleaners. Without any more information, I'd visit your local tile and floor professional and get some specific advice.

Is It Weird to try something NEW ? ? ?
The answer is no.... U Should Go For it, start a new style of ur own !
mabey even paint ur nails yellow then add purple french tips to the end !
Together yes, separate no, I love dark plum nail polish :)
purple and yellow dont go together. they r ugly together
Go for it! Ive only seen that combination maybe once before and you shouldnt be afraid to be different!
yea dont wear them together find a different color if you want to do that
Only if you're a dude.
it'd look alright- if you think it looks good that's all that matters.
only if you're supporting your school %26amp; it's at a ball game.
no
First of all, purple and yellow clash horribly. So never wear them together.
And secondly, yellow nail polish is disgusting, looks like you have jaundice. So ugly.
Also, patterns on your nails? Is the 1980s not over where you live?
Seriously, wear the purple nail polish and don't even think about buying any yellow, let alone wearing it.

Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?
Not too dark a red, yet not too light, either? And with medium cut nails where their not long nor too short? Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?
I think it can look a bit slutty. Depends on how old you are. If you are young enough to get away with some different funky colours, then do that!Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?
do not wear eveyday! one every to weeks is enuff try differnt coulers every second day and on short nails never long good luck
ya that's fine...im not aloud to paint my nails in color but my toes have been red for like a month....

I would wear red everyday. First of all it doesnt go with anything.
Keep your nails short , clean and perfectly polished w/red nails...as soon as the polish chips, they look like crap
Yea It Looks Okay :)

Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
Every time I put on nail polish it looks nice and everything, but when I remove it, my nails are this ugly, dull yellow color. Usually my natural nails look healthy, but every time after I wear nail polish they look awful. Is this just me? Can I fix it somehow, or is there a certain brand of nail polish that won't do this?
Thanks!Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
Usually only the cheapy ones do it, it used to happen to me. If you use Sally Hansen it probably won't do it. Your nails might be sensitive to centain chemicals in the polish too. Try taking a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover that says it will stregthen nails and run it over your unpainted nails as if your painting them. Let the first coat dry and do it again. Then apply a base coat of clear polish to protect your nails. After that drys, paint them whatever color you want because the base coat with protect them! Good luck!Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
This usually happens when you have a dark color on your nails..
Try using undercoats ..
It helps protect your nails...
You put that on first, and then you put your nail polish on.
it does overtime....... there is a clear finger paint that you put on before you put the colored one on and it protects your nails... then you put it after the colored ones so your nails can last...... hope this helps! good luck!
Usualy this happens if you keep polish on for a long amount of time. There are soaks, or you can buy some denture soak and soak your nails. You can also buffer them down.
it happens to me to it will do away in a few days i would suggest waiting till ur nails turn back to there color before repainting
maybe some kinds.
Absolutely NOT!!! It looks pretty. I have nail polish on almost every single day without taking it off to let my nails breathe and they are perfectly fine!!!
This happens because your nails are being covered for that whole time. They can't ';breathe'; and so anytime you wear nail polish for a while, this'll happen. You can avoid it by not leaving nail polish on for very long.
you need to let them get some air inbetween polishes b/c with polish your nails dont get air
you need to use a base coat the dye in polish is staining your nails ,a good one is opi base coat it really is worth it because it levels the nails out ,also you could have a nail fungus or just need to let them breath by not wearing your polish for more than a week and going one day without any on :)
just use regular nail polish. put on various LIGHT coats so that the nail can breath through the polish. dont add globbs of it to your nails.
hope i helped!
Ciao!!!!
