Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?

Help please? I have tried rubbing alcohol %26amp; hairspray.

Any ideas?Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?
Check out the garage. Acetone, lacquer thinner and maybe mineral spirits(not sure on that one). If all else fails repaint them with clear polish and quickly wipe it off before it sets. The fresh polish softens the old and you can wipe it off fairly easy. It works, but slow process.Need to take off nail polish, but have no nail polish remover. What can be used instead?
Go to the store...anything else would be horrible!
1. Use acetone to remove the polish.2. Scrape it off using your teeth,or even an old razor.Net time remember to stock yourself up on the remover!
you can do the nail polish on then take off thing but you would waste nail polish...i use a nail file and then buff it then repolish.
acetone
i dont know of anything else. your best bet is probably just to run up to the store and get some remover.
I really wouldn't recommend anything else for the sake of your nails, any other substance may be harsh and harmful to your nails. Why not just wait until you get some?!Or if you really want to cover up the colour you have on at the moment, why not just paint another colour on top?
1) OPEN HOT WATER OR IF IT IS TOO HOT MAKE IT A LITTLE WARM (NOT TOO WARM)

2) LET YOUR NAILS FEEL HOT AND WET

3) RUB YOUR NAILS ONCE AT A TIME WITH THE RUNNING WATER

4) FINISH WITH THE RIGHT HAND THEN WITH THE LEFT HAND

5) TA-DA! YOU SHOULD BE FINE THEN, THE NAIL POLISH WILL BE REMOVED AFTERWORDS!
mmm get achol and rub it on nails it should get off
if alcohol didn't do the trick, your next bet is acetone but you might as well go buy a nail polish remover.
you can buy nail polish and can't buy nail polish remover? its cheaper than nail polish. it cost a dollar.. well, just do some dish washing and use warm water, it will come out not quick but for sure.
Brush some clear nail polish (if you have any) on just one nail at a time. While it is still wet, it will soften the old polish underneath. Before it begins to dry, rub pretty hard with a cotton ball and all of the polish, both old and new will come off.
Rubber oil - but this can be harmful to your nails and it is very smelly.
use nail polish... paint on nail rub off still wet...
can't exactly remember.. i think something like rubbing alcohol. just haveta rub harder.
