Pink with a shimmer, but the pink loses some of it's brilliance.
I mix colors all the time. You just need a few empty bottles from some polishes you don't like anymore. Make sure they are cleaned out with remover - and don't lose the little balls (they help mix the polish).
To dilute thicker polishes, use acetone (available at any hardware store) but not remover because they have water in them (dulls the polish).
Have fun - be creative! What color do silver and pink make when you mix them(nail polish)?
i wouldnt mix nail polishes..especially if they aren't the same brand. but i would guess you get a shimmery pearly pink color. What color do silver and pink make when you mix them(nail polish)?

What nail polish colors are hot for spring?
Pastels are the must-have colors for spring, reports Allure. But which pastel depends on where you live. Women in big cities like New York %26amp; Las Vegas are buying pink for spring (try Revlon's 'Blushed' or Chanel's 'Natural Pink), while girls in the South opt for purple (a light purple -- try Wet 'n' Wild's 'Lilac Champagne' or Sephora Girl in 'Blackberry Purple').
Okay, the traditional colors for nail polish are red and pink which are still very popular and still look good, but there are more colors that you can discover that look really good. The *hot* colors in nails are: red, black, silver, pink, purple, and teal, along with the other colors shown below. Bright nail polish is definitely in, and can easily be pulled off by most people. Darker colors at the same time are still a popular thing, such as black but in order to pull black nail polish off make sure your outfit isn't too dark or it won't look good. Good luck! What nail polish colors are hot for spring?
COLOR - REASON
yellow - sunshine
pink(or any varying shade of it) - florals
light blue - sky
light purple - florals
green (not dark, closer to limes) - grass and leaves
white - clouds/florals and it goes with anything
red(not dark) - very bright and vibrant
other colors include: corals, peaches, most pale colors (i.e. baby blue, pale greens, pale purples, yellows etc.), ivory, oranges, sea green, aquamarines, and teal. What nail polish colors are hot for spring?
any pinks purples blues especially neon pink is in right now. white is an option. Some people where i live are painting their nails one color like pink and putting white polka dots on their nails. You can use any colors you like though. and a solid color with the flower painted on is very cute for spring and summer as well. red works..and for each color there is so many different shades to choose from. its a lot of fun actually seeing all the colors you can choose from and then seeing your results. have fun! good luck!
Try a silver.
Or do what I did- a hot pink on every other finger and white on the other fingers not colored.
Some great colors for spring are light pink, light neon colors, and corals. Really anything light.
lots of hot pinks and depending what you like- i like purple and pretty shades of blue and green

Test in a small hidden place first just in case...
Use polish remover (with acetone)
It'll work for crazy glue as well (just use 100% acetone for this)What's the best way to get nail polish out of clothes?
put nail remover on it n then rinse throughly.hope this worksWhat's the best way to get nail polish out of clothes?
Nail Polish remover rubbed in. and wash.
Girl u might as well throw away those shorts
Nail polish remover or hairspray might work ( works wonders for ink stains).
I don't think you can. Try rubbing it with pure acetone.
Well try to get it off with nail polish if it doesn't work then just ignore it.

Which nail polish is the best?
I have tried a lot of nail polishes, but they all seem to chip. I want some that will stay on longer so I don't have to re-paint as often and they won't come off so easily while playing sports.Which nail polish is the best?
I like OPI and Orly. I use 'Orly Top 2 Bottom' and 'Orly Won't Chip.' If you go for a bright bold color reapplying is a necessary evil. I'd try doing a top coat every 2-3 days to help it last.Which nail polish is the best?
i am here to help every beauty need u need i wear sinful nailpolish since it is on my budget i must have 15 bottles of it they have pretty colors and last forever so yeah i get them at walgreens for 1.99-2.00 so yeah they have awsome and pretty and wild colors
I think O.P.I is the best, it usually lasts as long as getting a manicure does, they have like every color imaginable, it is kinda pricey but totally worth it!
always use a base coat, and a top coat. i love china glaze, and zoya they are the only 2 kinds i carry in my spa
OPI is a good brand. Make sure you are using a base coat and a top coat, cause this will help w/ the chipping

How do i apply nail polish so that it comes out all smooth, nice and even?
do i remove excess polish on the brush first?
also, how do you get the let and right edges of your nails (the part that almost borders your skin? cuticle?) painted? do you tilt your hand first to the left when you are painting the left part of each nail and then to the right when you are painting the right part of each nail or something? How do i apply nail polish so that it comes out all smooth, nice and even?
-if you want to remove the excess you take if and slide it against the top.
-always do it at a angle wehn you paint the sides
-dont use old nail polish b/c it can be cakey and dry. i love opi (:
oh %26amp; i always roll the bottle instead of shaking it so it would go on smoother %26amp; there wouldn't be any bubbles.
-ALWAYS use 2 coats of nail polish then use a top coat to make it last longer. plus it makes your nails look nice %26amp; shiny :DHow do i apply nail polish so that it comes out all smooth, nice and even?
When doing your nails, before you even apply color, you should trim, shape, smooth your nail, and push back your cuticles. Pushing back your cuticles can be done easiest if you soak your hands in warm water first.
After you have done this, apply 1 coat of base/primer. This is important to help your color last.
Then its time to do your color. Do two THIN coats of color on your nails. The thicker you put it on, the easier it will peel. Doing two thin nails allows you to not get that transparent-streaky look one thing coat provides. Make sure that your nails are DRY before applying the second coat.
If you get some paint on your cuticle, When its dry, dip a cue tip in nailpolish remover and carefully remove whats on the edges of your skin.
When you are done, follow up with a top coat to seal in the color. You will have a perfect manicure!
You should always start out buffing your nails. That way your nail can be smooth and that way your nail polish can come out smooth. I would start out by applying one coat first letting that dry and then applying a second coat. And don't forget to make your nail polish look shiny and last longer apply a coat of the clear nail polish. About applying polish to the sides of your nail your pretty much already have it down. I mean really there is no other way to do it.
- shake the nail polish bottle before opening it,
- open the bottle and pull the brush out
- wipe any excess polish onto the edge of the nailpolish bottle
- i'm right handed and i find it easier to use my left hand to paint my right ha nd first, but do what you find easiest. it took me a lot of practice to get used to using my left hand.
- i start by doing one streak down the middle of my nail, then another on each side of the first streak. usually that covers the whole nail, but on thumbs you may need more.
- let the first coat dry THROUGHLY. if you dont let it dry completely and you put a second coat on, you will trap air bubbles and the polish will turn out all bubbly.
- do a second coat and cover with a clear coat (if you want)
Well put a coat of clear on all your nails. then you can get one of those small paint brushes and do it that way. its way better than using the one nail polish comes with because the bristles are kept in the nail polish and when using the paintbrush.. you can wash it off and keep it out. comes out smooth everytime. also put another clear coat on when they dry, keeps your nails smoother longer! hope this helps!
yeah, wipe of excess, put as little on as possible. I love 60 second rimmel, because the colors are bright enough for 1 layer and it goes on mega smooth and dries quick.
I usually am not too worried about messing up with nailpolish when painting the edges - it comes off in the shower off of my skin.
First, buff your nail beds. Second, apply a base coat. Third, apply two coats of polish, letting the first coat dry a minute or two before the next (and ya, you should lightly remove excess polish from the brush first by swiping against the inside of the bottle neck. Last, apply a top coat.
try and keep it to thre strokes. because just like a dry erase marker, ir you go over it to many times it will start to remove color. always do two coats because it will erase the stroke lines of the first coat. get as close to the cuticle as possible but dont touch it
On top of what everyone else said (apply light coats, use 3 strokes per nail, buff nails before hand..etc...) I have also found that it helps to keep your nail polish in the fridge for a few hours (or just all the time) before using. Especially in the summer when it is super hot out.
Good luck, hope that helps :)
Don't shake the bottle, roll it between your palms, shaking causes bubbles. Also if the polish is old %26amp; thick it won't apply well. Make sure
your nails are clean with no lotion, etc. on them. You could tilt your hand
to apply.
make sure you buff your nails and smooth them out if you want a really smooth look. apply in thin coats, let each coat dry them reapply.
they have base coats that fill in the lines in your nails also, and top coats to smooth out the polish.
Do like three thin coats, and use that clear glazed stuff to do the last coat over it, it makes it shiny and really smooth.
http://www.ehow.com/how_4830888_put-nail鈥?/a>
Pour the whole bottle of nail polish in a bowl.
Dip your fingers in it.
Let it dry.
DONE! ;D
try watering it everyday with water...
get enough nail polish on the brush and just go slowly
reply in thin coats, and it will not be so gloppy

Is nail polish flammable?
i got a little bit of nail polish on the wick of my candle, i took off most of the nail polish but some is stuck and i can't get it out. if i light the candle what will happen? Is nail polish flammable?
yes, nail polish is flammable. it is very dangerous too. If you are not careful. Is nail polish flammable?
haha
yes
i was lookin at my black nail polish one day nd it said do not get near heat or flames so becuase it told me not to i took it and i put i on the stove and turned it on and it exploded..
Take it outside and light it. At least it wont blow up!
yes its flammable. Solution: just cut off the part of the candle wick that has nail polish on it.
If its not like the whole bottle and you light the wick, it it will probably just burn off. Just do it outside or in an open space just in case the flame is really high.
First, blow off your candle. Once it's cold, you can remove the nail polish, then cut off the wick. Remove a bit of the wax that so you can reuse your candle. Easy and don't waste your candle.
Take care.

What's the brand of the new nail polish that eventually wears/fades off and you don't need to remove it?
I think I read about it in Lucky magazine awhile ago and it either faded or wore off gradually so you never needed to remove it. It was supposed to be a fairly neutral and pale color and dried really quickly. I think Sally Hansen makes it but I can't find the article about it anymore. What's the brand of the new nail polish that eventually wears/fades off and you don't need to remove it?

Fingertips numb after using nail polish remover?
last night I used nail polish remover to remove nail polish on my feet(all of which are fine). However I noticed last night that the tip of my thump and index finger felt tingly when touched and slightly numb . I have used this remover before and thought nothing of it , however the sensation is still there this morning . I can feel items that I touch with these tips, however the sensation is almost like numbness. Why is this and will it go away? Many thanks for advice, I am probably worrying about nothing.Fingertips numb after using nail polish remover?
I seriously doubt that it is from the nail polish remover. Sounds like you might have a pinched nerve somewhere or a circulation problem or it could be something much less severe. If it continues and becomes bothersome see your physician.

and i can't see anything bad happening..but some people say it might be bad for your nails..
idk..but i need advice on this..
and if it is bad..any way to make it NOT bad??Is it bad to always have nail polish on your nails?
its not that bad. i might wreak your nails if you have it on alllll the time, so just take it off once in awhile. I also heard that nail polish remover ruins your nails to. makes them more weaker. Is it bad to always have nail polish on your nails?
yea it is bad, just how when you have tips on for too long you can get fungus underneath, like if you have nail polish on all the time your nails and taking in all those chemicals.
i thought it was good....
as long as you use a strengthening base coat under stain prone colors like dark red or black. use a cuticle cream and remove the polish once a week.
but I haven't heard of it being BAD to wear polish alot
Leaving it on all the time really weakens my nails-maybe take it off overnight occasionally to give your nails a rest?

Guys, what color of nail polish do you like to see on a girl?
And, what would you think of a girl who wore dark nail polish?Guys, what color of nail polish do you like to see on a girl?
Black looks immature, but Dark Navy, or a Deep Maroon looks good, cream or french is nice as well.Guys, what color of nail polish do you like to see on a girl?
i see a french mani/pedi wit fake nails
Light polish. Dark looks like dirty fingernails.
Girls wear nail polish for other girls. A real guy has no interest in it. I have never been hanging out with my friends %26amp; the topic of nail polish or colors there off, come up.
Depends on your age I would think. I'm 37 so for me I like a more professional look. Young feeling but mature at the same time. French Manicure style is always great. Lighter colors are my preference. But a nice red can be classy and sexy too.
I know I'm not a guy, but Cover Girl suggest to use nail polish that matches your proper lipstick tone.

Can 100% pure acetone nail polish remover get you high??
iam doing a essay on this stuff and i just wanted to know...can it get you like high???... i've been looking for it all over the net. and it just doesnt give me the right answers i want for my essay!!Can 100% pure acetone nail polish remover get you high??
why yes it can i am a nail designer and we have to wear a mask when using itCan 100% pure acetone nail polish remover get you high??
The 'high' that one gets from this solvent is definitely attainable. These types of solvents are present in most paint spray cans . How they produce a 'high' is directly killing off brain cells. There is no quicker way to insure your death at a pace not unlike the tick of a watch. Perhaps that is the attraction. Moment by moment you see yourself dissolving away ,at a pace that keeps you inclined to not interfear.
I don't know if you'll get high, but you'll kill brain cells
Yes it can, just like sniffing paint and glue can. It comes from the same family of chemicals
I would not advise this activity though. High enough concentrations can kill you or give you cancer and damage your brain.
I would suggest using a NOT so close friend as the lab test. I mean if something happened to you, who would finish your essay?
it can definately get you cancer... good luck with the ';essay';
Any solvents can get you high. The solvents replace the oxygen going to your brain which causes a high feeling.... too much of it...and your deadamortization

What eyeshadow/lip gloss/nail polish to go with school dance outfit?
I'm wearing a low-necked, modern-looking deep pink silk dress. It's pink... but it's dark pink. What makeup color scheme would look best? I think doing all pink would just be weird. I have pretty much every eyeshadow color you could imagine, so no worries. Any miscellaneous makeup tips either? I want to look good! My skin is really, really light and my eyes are gold colored, and I have black hair. What colors?!?What eyeshadow/lip gloss/nail polish to go with school dance outfit?
For eyeshadow apply silver shimmery eyeshadow. Then, try 3 coats of black mascara. Make sure to curl your lashes first. Line them with liquid liner. Maybe try a subtle cat eye. Make sure you apply a light sweep of bronzer to add healthy color. Wear nude or peach lipgloss.

Is it safe to put clear nail polish on b4 you apply artificial nails?
its my first time applying fake nails but i heard that they damage your real nails so i was thinking wouldn't it be safer to put on a clear coat of nail polish before applying the fake nail by the way there not acrylic there are just regular fake nailsIs it safe to put clear nail polish on b4 you apply artificial nails?
If you get Acrylic nails on and have good nail tech taking care of, you should be fine. Nails just like hair when you cut short it will grow back , It is hard to damage something that can growing back except you abuse it. The only thing you have to beware is infection , people can lose their nails easily by being infection.
For artificial Nails you glue on , It should be fine if you put on and take off correctly .I don't think you need put any thing on before ,just very gentle when taking off . ( may use hot water or even acetone soak off ).
while wearing those glued nails on ,you should check infection or fungus often.
Good luck

http://www.nailclubspa.comIs it safe to put clear nail polish on b4 you apply artificial nails?
I dont' think it could hurt anything to do that. The problem is that in order for the glue to stick, you need a semi rough surface. And I think that applying a clear coat would make the nail too smooth. Also, I think that the fake nails would still damage your nails even with a clear coat first.
There's no danger. The nails will just fall off very easily because it won't be adhered to your nail.
But I really don't recommend that you bother with those DIY glue on nail kits. If you get air bubbles under the nail, you could get a bacterial infection. That's unsafe.
generally they don't damage your nails, only if you rip them off so i say just put them on but it wont do anything if you put clear polish on i shouldn't think. although if the glue has some ingredients then it could bond easily
of course its safe it will be fine.

What nail polish should i use?
I'm going to wear a gray shirt, with black skinny pants and i don't know what nail color i should use!
please i really need help! What nail polish should i use?
black. What nail polish should i use?
a bright color like pink, red, or orange, or even lime green. something to offset the darkness of everything else you're wearing.
Hot pink or black, But black sounds a little dark. Gray goes great with hot pink or really any pink. Okay I'll stop babbling.
I would use maroon or a deep purple. Black will be too dark unless you are going for the ';rocker'; type look.
A really deep mauvy-purple.
Baby Blue!
Bright Pink would make it look very fierce
or a bright red :)
hot pink with black sparkles or swirly design:))

What nail polish is in style right now?
What nail polish is in style right now? What nail polish is in style right now?
the french manicure will always be in and its great if you have long nails. They make your nails look safisticated yet cute!
hope i helped =]
also some summer colors are pink yellow and orange! What nail polish is in style right now?
i am currently sporting espresso your style, by OPI. and sometimes, chocolate shakespeare, by the same. short, blunt, and dark.
I see alot of girls at my school where black.
short, squared black nails or dark purple
dark nail polishes are in i think...colours like black, dark red, plum, etc.
bright colors like pink, orange, bright green, and neon blue are in style at my school
yellows blended with pink or red
Bright colours or bold colours (Red, Bright Pink, Black, Green, Yellow etc.)
Bright Pink and yellow.
I think that nail polish is a very subjective subject -- as you can tell, there are so many varying opinions that have been stated already.
However, black nail polish is seen worn very widely right now (make sure that you use a high quality nail polish if you go this route -- otherwise, you will merely obtain streaky, grayish nails -- definitely not classy . . . ).
The french manicure is always in style, and you can buy kits to obtain home manicures for inexpensive prices (no need to pay twenty dollars for a single manicure . . . check out Sally Hansen's, which you can buy at a drug store like Long's, Walgreens, or Savons). A recent trend that I've observed is the reverse french manicure (white/colored on the majority of the nail and the light pink on the tip), but be careful because this can often make your hands/fingers appear stubby and pudgy.
I've seen a lot of dark colors lately, but you should be careful with these because if you have short or stubby fingers, these shades can accentate these qualities.
Pastel colors, such as light pinks, purples, blues, and browns/beiges, are great for spring and summer and can actually, like the french manicure, seem to elongate your fingers (an extra advantage to the cute colors!).
You most definitely do not have to follow a specific trend/style when it comes to nail polish. Show your individuality and be bold (but just don't go for neon colors -- major fashion no-no =D ).
Good luck -- hope this helps you!
French manicures. Flat ends, white tips.
Bright colors like fire engine red and magenta.
Don't do colors like black and green.
That was kinda of a winter thing.

Getting Nail Polish off shirts?
I was holding the brush to my finger nail polish and it fell on my favorite shirt! How can you get dried finger nail polish off of clothes?Getting Nail Polish off shirts?
This method should work for most fabrics: After testing for colorfastness on a hidden spot, sponge over the stain with pure acetone, available at beauty-supply shops and drugstores. Then launder the shirt as you normally would. Never use acetone on fabrics that contain triacetate or acetate (check care labels), because it can dissolve the cloth. For those, use amyl acetate, available at drugstores.Getting Nail Polish off shirts?
i believe you have to take nail polish remover, and get it off ur shirt like taking it off ur nails. And then wash the shirt to get the smell out. If it doesnt work, then take a cleaning pen thing and use it. after that it should be back to normal.
alcohol works...
U can use the nail polish remover
Good luck--I ruined a pair of pants with nail polish (it was a pretty extreme spill, granted). Your best bet is going to be either denatured alcohol or paint remover, but spot test it first--anything strong enough to get it out may damage the shirt or change it's color. You may want to consider getting help to have it altered in such a fashion that the offending spot can be physically removed (obviously not an option if it's in the middle, but maybe you could make a handbag or something from it).
Saturate the stain in bug spray, use a toothbrush to scrub it off, then stick it in the washer.
give w-d 40 a try.
have you tried washing it, if you have and that doesnt work you should try oz cleans special washing power scrub it works a million but what ever you do DO NOT USE SOAP AND WATER TO SCRUB IT OFF.it will just stain more and make it hard to come out
Try Goo Gone.

Using nail polish remover (carefully), unless it is a man made fiber such as a polyester. I learned the hard way; it eats it.How do you remove nail polish from clothes?
Depends on the fabric.
If it is cotton or a natural material, non acetone nail polish remover would work.
But if it is synthetic like polyester, you would just have to buy a new garment.
what i did last time was just use nail polish remover and it worked for me... otherwise, sorry honey, you'll be having to get a new shirt ;D
pour a little of acetone (the same one that you use to remove nail polish ) in a piace of cotton and then softly remove the stain on your clothes
if nail polish remover dont work try goo gone its a cleaning agent that works on alot of stuff

Dropped nail polish remover on my mobile, help?
I accidently bumped my nail polish remover and it spilled all over my phone. I quickly wipped it up but some seemed to have leaked into the screen. Now the background of my screen is all grey and when I move it around I can see darker areas and spots. Will this dry up and return to normal or is it permenant damage?
I have phone insurance, will it be covered for this ';type'; of accident?Dropped nail polish remover on my mobile, help?
phone insurance doesn't cover up ';water damage';. so lose your phone %26amp; say it was stolen or taken. as it will not dry up

Is it true that both batteries and nail polish last longer if stored in the fridge?
Yes batteries will in fact last longer if stored in the fridge.
And my sister puts her nail polish in the fridge, she says it keeps it from getting watery. Is it true that both batteries and nail polish last longer if stored in the fridge?

Does anyone know what would cause my apartment to smell like nail polish? (and no, it's not nail polish)?
I don't know what to do to get rid of the smell because I don't know it's source. It smells almost like nail polish (but it's definitely not that) it permeates my entire apartment unless the windows are all left open. I don't know if it's caused by something I need to worry about or not. It's not the rotten egg, headache causing smell of natural gas. But that's the only thing I can think of that would cause the place to smell. Any suggestions??Does anyone know what would cause my apartment to smell like nail polish? (and no, it's not nail polish)?
Any recent painting or use of lacquer? Any new furniture that might use a wood lacquer?Does anyone know what would cause my apartment to smell like nail polish? (and no, it's not nail polish)?
it might be one of your neighbors since your in an apartment. tell your landlord right away as it may be dangerous. and i hope its not anyone cooking drugs or nuthing
I agree with the previous writers about the meth lab. But it could also be a dry cleaner in your neighborhood with an exhaust fan in your area. Don't postpone finding out. It could be dangerous to your health and, if druggie, your life.
Call the police and the health department.
It is an apartment, and the smell of acetone could be, as the previous poster stated, that someone is cooking illegal drugs.
Contact your local police, and report it to the street crimes unit. If you can, keep track of all the license plates of visitors to their unit. Detectives will ask you to do that first, then they run checks to find that some may be stolen cars or gawd knows what.
Don't take it lightly. These activities only get worse and soon you'll be waking in teh middle of the night to fights between dope heads, prostitution, violence against women, and gawd forbid... children!
If what you are smelling smells like nail polish REMOVER, then it very well could be a meth lab. Nail polish remover is acetone. Below is a list of signs of a meth lab:
';Strong smell that might resemble urine, or unusual chemical smell like ether, ammonia, or acetone.
Little or no traffic during the day, but lots of traffic at extremely late hours.
Extra efforts made to cover windows or reinforce doors.
Residents never putting their trash out or burning all trash.
Lab materials surrounding property (lantern fuel cans, red chemically stained coffee filters, clear glass jugs and duct tape).
Vehicles loaded with trunks, chemical containers, or basic chemistry paraphernalia - glassware, rubber tubing, etc.
Laboratory glassware being carried into residence.
Inhabitants smoking outside due to the fumes.
Dying grass or plants in a particular area. ';

Is it stupid to match nails and toes with the same color nail polish?
it's definitely not stupid, i do it sometimes.
i've always heard that you are supposed to make your toenails one shade darker than your fingers.

Why is my nail polish doing this?
Every time I paint my nails, I get all the little bubbles under the polish. I have tries brand new polish, different colors, different brands, fewer coats, and nothing seems to work. I use about 2-3 coats of the colored polish, then I use about 2 coats of clear top coat. Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?Why is my nail polish doing this?
In addition to what the others said about too many coats or painting your nails too thick, the bubbles could be caused by you shaking your nail polish. To mix your polish instead of shaking it, role it back and forth between your hands. Not too fast though or that would be the same as shaking it! When I started doing that with my polish I almost NEVER got bubbles in my polish! Even when I use 99 cent NYC polish my nails still look perfect. The only time I ever do now are when my polish gets old.Why is my nail polish doing this?
I've heard taking certain medications can make that happen to your nails, also put ridges into them. Anyways, prehaps it is that. If you do not take any medications then possibly that is just how you fingernails react to nail polish. Try to use a more expensive brand (OPI, ChinaGlaze...etc)
you're using too much polish,
first you should put 1 thin coat of clear,
let it dry, then apply color 1-2 coats,
let it dry, then a coat of clear again.
sit still, then you should be alright
%26amp; not have this problem anymore.
:]
you have to buff your nails first i guess, the uneven surface will result in the bubbles,,,
Too much nailpolish coatings
too much or it's the brush :/ not so sure it can be just air caught in the polish :/ good luck :)

Is there an easy way to remove acrylic/gel nails, other than soaking them in nail polish remover forever?
I've cut the tips off with clippers, but now stuck to the nail bed is the other part. I keep trying to lift it, but I feel like I'm lifting my whole nail. They're not going anywhere!! They are stuck-- bigtime.
It looks terrible and I need them gone. Pronto.
Please help!! Thanks :)Is there an easy way to remove acrylic/gel nails, other than soaking them in nail polish remover forever?
You can go to the salon and get them professionally removed not totally sure how much that would cost though. I always just soak them in remover or warm water and it lifts the glue and they come off, does take awhile though. Is there an easy way to remove acrylic/gel nails, other than soaking them in nail polish remover forever?
The professionals used acetoner that is stronger than the usual nail polish remover. Either go to the salon and have it done by them (highly recommended) or get the professional strength acetoner.
try this-
- slightly roughten the surface of the nail with a medium grid file
-soak fingertips with nail varnish remover it has to be (pure acetone)nail varnish with non acetone in it will not work
-leave for 15-20minutes (i know borning but watch tv while you wait)after the 15/20 mins ...every 2-3minutes take out %26amp; wipe away the dissolving articail nail with a tissue soakid in acetone
-use a orange stick 2 gentrly buff away the articail nail stucture from the real nail
-after fake nails are off...make sure you use a nail strightner and cutice cream/oil
i hope this is help full...................................
make sure you use acetone polich remover. You can buy pure acetone at Wal Mart. It will work much quicker.
I know when I had my gels I had a bad habit of not wearing gloves when I washed dishes. They would lift due to the water and pull off easily. I think the only way to get them off is to soak them or go to where you get them done and get them to take em off.
Sorry dear- soaking and peeling is the only way I've discovered. Using pure acetone from a beauty supply store helps to speed it along a bit.
Another option- go to a nail salon and have then soak them off while they give you a pedicure :)

Should your nail polish match your toe polish or should it be different?
different. Go for the same colour, but different shades of it. Your nails should be a lighter colour, as these will be seen the most, and up close, so you want them t be quite tasteful and your toes more bright, as these are normally only seen from more of a distance, so you dont want them to go unnoticed, so the colour must be bold! For example, pale pink on your fingers, bright pink on your toes. The contrast works well.Should your nail polish match your toe polish or should it be different?
It's completely your choice!!!
There's no strict rule.
Although I guess if you are going to a very ';posh'; do where both your hands and toes are going to be showing and it's quite smart / elegant, then I would go matching...
But in everyday life, it doesnt really matter!
The important thing is finding out what shades suit your skin tone!
:-)Should your nail polish match your toe polish or should it be different?
I always have my toes French manicure and my nails a color of my choice, give my hands the professional look and my toes the fun look, best of both worlds
NO! :)
Toe and nail polish do NOT have to match ... ever.
%26lt;------ works for Vogue magazine, and is also a gay asexual cat
Different. Color on the toes and french on the fingers looks nice.
Go for different it's much fun if your nail and toe polish are different...^_^
I think it looks better when matched or skip the toe polish instead.
Why it should match of course, unless you're like me and don't give a dam about matching them up. LMAO
different.
looks a bit weird if they;re the same
oh no way,,they always match,,,

How do you get dark purple nail polish off of black 100% polyester pants?
:(How do you get dark purple nail polish off of black 100% polyester pants?
You could take the pants to the dry cleaner and tell them about the stain. The dry cleaner will attempt to remove it carefully.
For DIY - Scrape the excess. Test acetone on an inconspicuous place. If fiber color doesn't change, flush acetone through the stain to an absorbent pad. When no more stain is being removed, change pads and flush well with dry-cleaning solvent. Allow to dry thoroughly. ***Be sure to test first using the acetone because Acetone nail polish remover can melt polyester fabrics.
When I worked in a department store, we removed stains from most fabric by putting an absorbent white cloth underneath, and then adding some warm sudsy water (Woolite laundry liquid), and scraping the stain area gently with a flat surface metal item (you could use the edge of spoon). The stain gets scraped off and into the cloth below.
Then wash the pants normally as soon as finished removing the stain. How do you get dark purple nail polish off of black 100% polyester pants?
try acetone, but don't try spread the nail polish on the cloth..just scrape it off, upwards, put acetone first.

How can i thin out my nail polish?
my black nail polish is like tar, i can barely use it. is there something i can do to thin it out? i tried water but it killed it. :(How can i thin out my nail polish?
Nail polish remover! I always add a few drops of it to my nail polish when it starts to dry out. You only need a little, just put some remover on a cotton ball, and drip a little into the bottle, It'll be good as new! :]How can i thin out my nail polish?
You probably can't save the one that was watered down, but for future reference, hear ya go.
For a quick fix you can add a few drops of nail polish remover at a time until you get the consistancy that you like. Or if you want to do it the right way, you can go to a beauty supply store and buy a nail polish thinner. Nail polish remover will only keep it that way for a short time and you will have to keep adding it and the thinner is only something that you should have to add once. I hope this helps.
i heard putting a bit of nail polish remover and swishing it around works, but I have never tried it. tis what my friend told me.
The water might've ruined it, but you can try either nail polish remover or acetone to thin it out a bit. Hope that helps! Good luck!
no.
when it thickens up it usually means that its old and you should throw it away. you can always get new black nail polish.
nail polish remover just a couple of drops trust me nothing works as good as it put it in there then just shake the bottle
clear polish works best because nail polish remover can dull the color
hshahhahahaha water you are stupid. I tried that when i was 3.
I hope this helps.

i think that it makes a person appear put together overall like they really care about every part of their body and make themself look presentable, but i wouldnt dump my friends becuase they didnt wear nail polish lol..but i prefer to always wear nail polish even just a clear top coat ffor when i dont feel like having any colourWould you like a girl with nail polish or none?
Well I think all the people who just made fun off you shouldnt have even answered the question!
I like it when girls have thier nails done. I dont know why but I like it when mine are done. If your really bored it could give you somthing to talk about.
It doesn't matter as long as they have neat %26amp; clean nails. Dirty bitten nails are a no-no. For me, as a little bit tomboy girl, i always need a black nail polish on my nails.
I wouldnt care. I usually dont look at the nails. But guys usually look at the butt first so make sure that looks it's best lol.
It doesn't matter to me but I think that sometimes girls have cool designs on their nails and it's pretty cool.
if i was a guy, iwould rather take out a girl with nail polish because it just finishes off your outfit and stuff.

Is there any way to remove nail polish from khaki pants?
Pure acetone fingernail polish remover. If the polish is in one spot bunch that spot up and dip it into a bowl of the remover. Use a old toothbrush to scrub away. Rinse well with cold water and repeat as necessary. Is there any way to remove nail polish from khaki pants?
First get most of the polish off with nail polish remover (acetone). Then, make a paste using Tide and a little water. Brush the paste on the stain with an old toothbrush then wash as usual in the water.

How to remove nail polish?
I am all out of nail polish remover! Is there any way to remove it without the remover? If it helps I have tried rubbing alcohol but it doesn't seems like its helping a whole lot. And I wouldn't mind any other tips for healthy nails...But most importantly how can I get the nail polish off!How to remove nail polish?
Sometimes you can get nail polish off by painting another coat of polish on top and then immediately wiping or washing it off before it can dry again.
I also found an interesting article about how you can use spray deodorant to clean the polish off. I've never tried it, but this is the link to the article http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Nail-Polish-Without-Using-RemoverHow to remove nail polish?
Any product containing acetone or methyl-ethyl-ketone (MEK) will remove nail polish. This can include many paint-thinning or removal products, including lacquer thinner. However, these products can rapidly dehydrate human skin, and are highly flammable.
In addition, pure acetone has a flash point similar to gasoline (petrol) and vapours can be ignited by a nearby flame... it can also dissolve lots of common plastics....
Consumer nail polish remover is actually 60% acetone. But the remainder is moisturizers and water to reduce the impact on the skin, and to make it safer to use....
Polish can also be dissolved with more (wet) nail polish. It is recommended that this be done with clear nail polish, one finger at a time.
While DEET, the active ingredient in insect repellent, may also be effective, it is not recommended; it is also very damaging to many household plastics.
Another alternative is to use use peel-off nail polish instead.
also Acetone and alchol Do not peel the polish or your nails will turnbrittle also top of nail may peel off aswell.
If this is all too much trouble, nail-polish can be simply removed by first wetting the nails with water and then repolishing your nails while they are still wet with the same nail-polish.
This may have to be done twice according to the strength of the nail-polish
Or you can just buy some more nail polish remover. Live with it, or maybe just pick it off? Good luck!
If you used a clear base coat before you applied the nail polish, then you should be able to peel it right off.
One of the reasons I rarely wear nail polish is because I always end up peeling it off within an hour after it dries.
You can do it with new wet nailpolish, but I also found that sunscreen works too. lol...just rub it into your nails until it comes off. =]
Just paint a coat every 5 minutes as soon as it dries. Then in an hour, it will be so thick, you can peel it off!
chip it off with your fingernails.
If you have clear nail polish, dab a bit on each nail and scratch it off. It comes out easily!
u cud buy some remover, or live with the polish or pick it off :D

What do all the ingredients in nail polish do?
they r just used to color the nails
@What do all the ingredients in nail polish do?
harden up and keeps your nails safeWhat do all the ingredients in nail polish do?
the paint on the nail does not allow the nail to breath. Some of time depending on the ingredients in nail polish is toxic and usage over a long period of time will actually weaken the nails. However there are some polished that actually help to harden the nail. They mostly contain calcium others are made with porcelain powders. In the end it all depends on what you eat!
All the ingredients in nail polish make nail polish.
Actually nail polish is a polymer composed of a bunch of solids dissolved in a drying agent that when mixed with air or exposed to another catalyst like uv light becomes organized molecularly and becomes a solid again.hair straightening

Is there any nail polish that actually look like the color of your toenail i wanna cover up my fungus?
i have to swim for p.e in a couple of days and i cant believe i am even considering putting some some nail polish on but i have no alternative before we get in the pool we have to stand outside the pool in a line and rinse our hair and i am very selfconcious about my fungusIs there any nail polish that actually look like the color of your toenail i wanna cover up my fungus?
Yes their is nail polish that kinda looks like skin. Go to any store and look for a french mannicure kit. (sally beauty, walmart, walgreen, cvs). their are like three or four different base colors you can choose from and that will look like the bed of the nail and a white/creamy color that will come with it to like the growth of the nail. just pick out the one that looks like your skin color.
If your daring... You could probaly even go to a nail salon (when it's not busy and just get your toes paint with a french mannicure it's like 5 bucks. but atleast you don't have to do it and your toes will look natural.
Also if it's fungus under the nail. You might want to soak your feet with warm to hot water with equal amount of vingar. It will kill the fungus. the longer you soak and the more you soak the better. hope this helps. Is there any nail polish that actually look like the color of your toenail i wanna cover up my fungus?
oh my god ';chocolate cat'; shut up fungus can happen to anyone, for MANY different reasons
my quick fix solution for you is go to any place that would carry nail polish and find a beige color that looks similar. OR paint your toe nails black, black nails are hot on guys. Or put a band aid over your toe if its only one, i dont know how well it would stay on in the water though.
BUT you really need to see a doctor the fungus can get really bad and spread to your other toenails if it hasnt already.
Well.... you could get a beige nail polish that suits your toe nail color, and put it on. Then after it dryes, you rub it with a bit of nail polish remover to reduce the shinyness.
BTW, Why do you fungus on your toes???
You have to clean them throughly!! With cutips, or buy toe fungis remover if that helps.
Overall, it shows how hygenic you are, You should clean your feet.
i dont know of any that isnt shiny but if you put canesten i think thats how you spell it its for thrush its a cream but um it works for fungus' and things anyways that realy works great it should pretty much clear it up in a few days put on twice a day after a shower
there is a fingernail polish that is the same color. Its by Sally Henson. I don't know the name of the color but I do know that it is the first step of a french tip set, but you can buy them separately. Good luck.
nope. just cut the toenail as low as you can.
have fun!

Why does my nail polish peel off like plastic?
Not chipped off. Literally peels off like a sticker...I thought it was cheap nail polish...so I bought a more higher end brand and it still does the same thing....I tired to make the surface rougher with a nail sander...still the same. Has this happened to you? How did you fix it? Or what can I do or try?Why does my nail polish peel off like plastic?
All nail polishes do that. Apply the color so it doesn't quite reach the edge of the nail, then apply the top coat right to the edge of the nail twice. That should stop it peeling off.Why does my nail polish peel off like plastic?
When your done painting the color part on, put a clear coat over it.
A couple things:
Nail polish adheres best to an oil-free, smooth surface. That's why at the nail salon they'll either make you wash your hands before they apply the polish, or spritz them with rubbing alcohol. You definitely want to buff them before applying polish, but make sure you're washing them too.
Also, applying thick coats will make it peel off too. In my experience the cheaper polish brands tend to get goopy and thick really fast, so either use polish thinner or better polish, and be sure to apply thin coats.
This happens to me when I use the Hot Topic brands of nail polish. I think it has to do with applying too much. I know that when I'm in a hurry I'll kinda glob it on just to get done with it and it will literally peel off a few days later, so maybe if you tried putting less on or more (thinner) coats? I also noticed some other brands peel right off when I'm taking a hot shower or there's high heat/humidity so that could be it too.
it peels because after a few days the polish has been on your nails, and your nail bed produce oils natrually, just as if you don't wash your hair for a few days, your hair gets greasy. when the oil surfaces from the nail bed, it causes the polish to lift off of your nails. there isn't much you can do about it.

Does nail polish remover really thin out too thick nail polish?
won't it make it chip off considering it's a remover? my polish is thick and I need to find a way to make it thinner!Does nail polish remover really thin out too thick nail polish?
yes, it's true.
Depending on the brand of polish, the fridge can cause them to thin out or actually thicken.Does nail polish remover really thin out too thick nail polish?
Actually the only type of nail polish remover that thins out nailpolish is acetone, I find it the best nail polish remover to, some people think it ruins the nails but I disagree. Next time you find an old nail polish in the cupboard that is thick and gluggy put a few drops of acetone in it.. Report Abuse
Yes! It's amazing. My aunt taught me that trick. Also, keeping them in the fridge helps.hair straightening

My yellow nail polish tinted my nails yellow?
It's not because I wear too much nail polish cause I only had it on for like 2 days and I took it off today and my nails were tinted yellow, how do I get it off? And it's NOT because I wear nail polish too long.My yellow nail polish tinted my nails yellow?
maybe you should ask your friends but i think your nails are rotting that happened to my sister i think she just washed them constantly and um..... put on tuns of lotionMy yellow nail polish tinted my nails yellow?
soak your fingers in nail polish remover for a couple minutes.
the same thing happened to me recently!
this really works! Report Abuse
In the future i would wear a base coat under any nail varnish especially strong colours. This will prevent the nail varnish from staining your nails. The only way to get rid of the yellow tint on your nails is to keep trimming them when they grow and soon it will grow out. Or you could put a basecoat on your nails and put nail varnish over it to disguise it. (: x
Try sqeezing some lemons and mixing it with water and then leaving your nails in for about 45 seconds. It'll dissolve quickly after that (1 hour tops). That's what I do.
:]
you'll have to wait until it wears off but next time when wearing bright colors on your nails put a base coast of clear on before adding the color this stops it from staining and makes it easier to get off :)
you probably shouldnt wear yellow anyway, it never looks good
White Spirits work, or simply paint over lol

Have his/her hands surgically removed at the wrists, then replace the wallet. I don't think there's anything that will take it out.

Go now to the supermarket and buy neither one of these two products that remove Pen-Ink-Marker
Product 1. is made by Motsenbocker's called ';LIFT OFF';
See the sites below

http://www.liftoffinc.com/product-stain-鈥?/a>
or
Dylon Stain Remover.
See site below
http://www.dylon.com.au/fc-stainremovers鈥?/a>
Both products work well. I have even used it on my yellow leather lounge when my youngest daughter marked the lounge with a black permanent marker.
Pour the product all over your wallet then wash the wallet in warm soapy water then let the wallet dry out in the sun.
Now I always make sure I have these products handy in the laundry.
Get Mr Clean magic eraser - they work wonders on marker on walls, floors, even wallets!
Don't ever use them on your kids as they will get a chemical burn from the materials in the magic eraser - but do use it on the wallet/walls/floors etc.
Mr Clean Magic Erasers work wonders, but I don't know about wallets. You could call Gucci's costumer service. But do it quickly.

I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me?
if not what else because i really want to know?I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me?
If you like bright red polish wear it!!I have brown skin, do you think bright red nail polish would look good on me?
I've also brown skin and I've found that red looks good on me if it's on clothes, but not at all in makeup. Bright red makes me look a lil cheap (lol). For makeup and nails I choose more in the pink-peach shades. In the case of nails, I even prefer french manicure (with almost transparent colors in peach, natural, pinks or just clear), or any of these colors by themselves (without the french). That does look really classy in my hands. This is just my own experience.
Red would but corals would look better (tangerines, peaches)
maybe not bright red, ( i am right there w/ya) try darker shades of pink
Gorgeous.
Of course plu my mama use to always get fake nails which was painted red so yeah and plus i have brown skin and red looks great on brown skin people!
I don't think so. red doesn't really look good on brown people. I'm pretty brown and my mom says I look more brown if i wear red. (sad face!) You should wear blue or clear ; just don't wear red!
Yes, I think that would work very well. As long as what you are wearing matches as well.
Basically, any color would work, as long as what you wear is a matching color or even the same color.
not red i think that like a light brown really light and sparklin thats really good for black o brown ppl
Orange or pink will look great with your skin color...But red would make you look darker...
I think Red is an universal color. and anybody could wear any color..weather it's nails or make up... Just apply it righ and their is always a large selection of reds, so choose one that you think is best for you
What color is your hair? Because, I'm a ';blonde';, and I personally dont think blondes should wear, red polish, or lipstick!! Very few Blonde, women I've seen look good, in Bright lipstick, and polishes.....Its totally for ';Brunettes'; I feel...But, then again, I'm a bit, on the ';Modest';, side, I just like to wear, all natural colors, the browns, and beige's and just try to look as ';Natural';, as I can.......When, I saw Jessica Simpson, with bright red lipstick, on, I didn't think, it ';Became'; her, You know.. Whereas, Marilyn Monroe, looked really good with it on!!! Just depends on the blonde, I guess.. Have Fun!!!
no, i think a brown color that is darker than you to make your skin look lighter if not just one of those that makes look transparent, like just glow.
no you would want a peach color... or a very light shade of pink to react with your skin color.
I like pale polish, for any color skin. I always think of hookers, when I think bright red.
oh girl hell yeah, throw on that sexy red dress and show them how to work it!

Why does nail polish slide off of the brush, but not your nails?
I'm bored and I got curious. =PWhy does nail polish slide off of the brush, but not your nails?
the polish is wet inside the container and when applied to ur nails it is also wet. but it driesWhy does nail polish slide off of the brush, but not your nails?
Nails give it something to adhere to. The brush is merely there for the application of the polish. Just like a paintbrush works for paint on walls or the outside of a home. And yes, it still sticks to the brush. Most of it ends up on your nail though.
Because the polish dries?
idk ha.
good question though.

HOw do I get hair dye off skin without rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover?
Find someone who smokes cigarettes and collect their ashes. Rub a little water with the ashes and rub on your skin, the hair dye will come out.HOw do I get hair dye off skin without rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover?
You can try OXY daily cleansing pads.HOw do I get hair dye off skin without rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover?
sea breeze-skin astringent at walmart or another store
Hair dye can be removed from skin by using shampoo. After all it is the shampoo and the washing of your hair that removes the color.
You can try babyoil, soap and water usually does it for me, i just use Dawn brand or anything that specifically says ';Tough on grease'; lol i know that sounds weird but trust me i dye my hair all the time, many different colors, and another thing you could try vaseline. And here;s a hint of advise, if ure a messy person like me, use vaseline around your hair line b4 you dye your hair, just... dont get it IN your hair... and wear either a long sleeved shirt or something to fully cover your arms!!! Good Luck!!
-Ashley
the ways to remove it from the skin are a few: use hot oil treatments that are for the hair, hair spray, cigarette ash, cottoballs with milk on them , or wd-40
rub the spot with a napkin and on it some ashes from a cigarette. it works.

Where can i find good nail polish that will last at least a week?
NYC, Wet %26amp; Wild, Sally's, IDK! i just want 2 points. =] thanx!Where can i find good nail polish that will last at least a week?
it's not just the nail polish that is the most important, although i adore opi and essie. What ever brand you choose use a newer bottle because old ones can be thick and not stick to your nail as well.
Make sure you have clean nails to start. Use nail polish remover, even if you previously had no polish on, to get all the dirt and oil from your nails.
Second use a base coat so the polish has something to cling on to. Be sure you let it dry all the way, if you don't the polish may peal off and it can be depressing. if you are in a rush skip this step it causes the polish to take a long time to dry.
Finally, use a top coat. it's magic. it's like clear protection that is essential to the long life of a coat of polish.Where can i find good nail polish that will last at least a week?
I just use a pink Revlon polish that my wife buys on my toenails. It usually lasts close to that long.
opi or sally hansens teflon tuff. im a cashier and both products are really good for wear and tear. opi 7.50 or sally 2.99
Saly Hansen has a kind that lasts ten days. It says';ten day long wear'; on it. It actually lasted about 12 when I wore some--with out chipping! It also comes in tons of colors (I have ';Bright Future'; which is a shimmery peachy-pink...perfect for Summer!)
OPI is really good and their colors are really nice
but generally if you put a clear top coat that is dedicated to making the color last longer (2 weeks sometimes), that's all you need. not a special nailpolish. try sally hansen
all these other answers are good, but check into ';Creative'; nail polish. you can find it at your local hair salon.

How do you get pink nail polish out of my green micro suede couch?
I have a brown suede couch and I once spilled pink nail polish on one of the cushions. I poured some nail polish remover on a rag and tested it on a small area of the couch that was not visible. It didn't seem to harm the couch fabric at all so I used it to get the nail polish out. It actually worked pretty well! You can't even tell that there was anything there. I would recommend you try this, just be sure to test it first on an area that you can't see. Goodluck! How do you get pink nail polish out of my green micro suede couch?
sorry. I have no clue,.. I just thought it was really cool that you have a green micro suede couch. How do you get pink nail polish out of my green micro suede couch?
Try using micro suede couch cleaning fluid.
I have a green Micro Suede Coach also and it normally cleans up well but I am not too sure about something like Finger Nail Polish thats soaks into the fabric. I did ask a friend and she said the new Tide stick pen along with the Magic Eraser would remove it but you may have to apply several times but it would not remove the colors, unlike finger nail polish remover that may take the colors out.
Ugh! I once had a whole bottle of hot pink nail polish splatter all over my cream carpet --- Someone told me to try cleaning it with amonia, water, and a sponge... IT REALLY WORKED!
I'd try it in a hidden area first but microsuede is really a fabric not leather so it should be okay.....It's gotta be safer then polish remover.
Try nail polish remover on a hidden spot, to see if it damages the material. If OK, then try it on the spot. You may need to repeat that many times, so expect it will make the shade lighter.
I would probably use a NON acetone finger nail polish remover. Let it soak in a little and then use a damp white rag to wipe it off.
good luck
soak a towl with nail polish remover, then try to get it out of the couch

i accidently spilled some nail polish on a louis vutton purse. is it okay to use nail polish remover on the leather??Is it okay to remove nail polish from louis vutton leather?
Please do not use nail varnish remover on your leather bag. It will damage an dremove the colour/finish on the leather and may not even remove the polish.
This sort of damage is best left to a leather expert who can safely remove the polish and repair any damage that is done.
DIY attempts will only ruin the bag and then it will be even more costly to fix.Is it okay to remove nail polish from louis vutton leather?

the easiest way is to buy a new one
or
use your finger nails to chip it off.
buy a new bottle???
Soak your nails in hot hot water

Which is the best colour nail polish for short chubby fingers?!?
I have horrible hands, my fingers are short and chubby and they look like they belong to an old woman even though I am only 28!! I have recently started to have nail extensions extending a little over the fingertip but I would like a change from the usual french manicure, any ideas? Dark colours make my fingers look even shorter. Also I have quite dark skin, what about using a different base rather than pink for a french manicure? Help!!!Which is the best colour nail polish for short chubby fingers?!?
I think pale colors make them look chunkier. If your nail length is at least to the tip of your finger nail I'd say go with black or a drak purple. I think it draws attention outward to make your nails look longer and your fingers as well.Which is the best colour nail polish for short chubby fingers?!?
You can do any type of light color, light pink, golds, creams, off whites. Pale colors make short nails look better especially if you can file it into a squared off.

After i had my baby a year ago I cant get my nail polish to say on even if I use a base and top coat. Why?
I have tried using nail polish remover just before applying and using a file to etch them so it might bond but it just peels off in sheets within 12 hours. After i had my baby a year ago I cant get my nail polish to say on even if I use a base and top coat. Why?
Obviously she tried using different nail polish brands. DUH. Okay so there are some wierd things that I guess you can loose chemical balences in your body/nails. or vitamins and stuff. Try maybe seeing a doctor if you feel you want too(and maybe have some insurance) haha.

Why does nail polish last longer on your toes then on your hands?
Toe nail polish tends to last longer because they're protected by your shoes most of the time. Even if you wear sandals or open-toe shoes ALL the time... your finger nails are constantly being banged against hard surfaces. Plus you have to keep in mind that if you wash dishes, the water loosens the nail polish as well... and when you shower and wash your hair... your causing the loosened nail polish to be rubbed off by your scalps and what not. So as you can see there are many factors that affect the nail polish on your fingers and not so many for the polish on your toes. :O)Why does nail polish last longer on your toes then on your hands?
Probably because your toes are protected by shoes most of the time and so they don't knock into stuff as much as your hands do. I find it doesnt last as long if i go to the beach or something cuz the sand wears it away.hair straightening

What color nail polish should I wear, please help?
Okay I need some nail polish color to wear besides pink. Im like preppy so I need a color that fits me. PLEASE HELP
thanx.
also would neon anything work? What color nail polish should I wear, please help?
opal... i call it opal. it looks white but has a tint of pink! What color nail polish should I wear, please help?
if your going for preppy i would go pastels. neon in going for an alternative-punk look. However believe it or not with some outfits ex: pink and black pinstripe blouse- black nail polish ompletes the preppy look. But i advise it only with black as an accent color- not main color. For a preppy look go for pearlesant finish in:
-powder blue
-light violet
-powder lime green
-butter-powder yellow.
go to cvs and ulta and stores like that. even target and walmart. :Look for lighter pearly and powdery colors.
try O.P.I
princess rules is cah-ute
and peanut butter jelly is like purpleish pink
and if u go to claires, they have a really shiny glossy- whitish-pinkish-really light purpleish color
and of course, the french manicure always say ';hey, i have great nails and im cute';
well, i know you don't want pink but flourescant pink looks amazing or another neon colour like green our blue. maybe a turqiose colou?or you could do like half your nail bright blue and the other half bright green or something. i did that with pink and green once and i think it looked good. :D
I know you said you dont like pink but electric pink is classic and it look best on girls with darker or paler skin tones but if you dont like that that grape looks good on everyone. If you want neon or something like that consider bright orange blue green or yellow! Hope this helps!! = )
OPI is the best they have a huge selection!!!
and as long as you dont wear like black or dark dark colors you can stick with your style!!!
neons would def workk!!
try the opi mod brights colletction you can find them in ULTA! :)
neon isn't preppy in my opinion. you need soft, feminine colors for that, pastels colors will look good.
neon rocks !
except im not really a fan of neon yellow nail polish :[ it looks hideous on me ...
try a light powder pink or white :]
