Yes it is ok. Just be sure that its not a cheap (bad) nail polish remover, and when you rub to clean the doll do it carefully (just in case)

No, No, NO.. you will melt the dolls finger tips. Acetone (nail Polish) will disolve the plastic.
Try it out and see if it works.
Try baby wipes or Clorox wipes too.
